Survival Horror or Action packed map?

Hello fellow modders and non-modders,
I'll be making a map, i already have most of the models created and have two fairly solid map ideas in mind.
(WIP) Map idea 1 - 6 very lightly armed scientists face off against a single (Or a few) dangerous alien(s).
Scientists -You can try to kill the alien with your weapons but it is not advised to do this because they are extremely weak, but you can try to trap it (Or them) in a room and wait for the rescue team (But they can most likely breakout) . The way to win the map is to kill the alien(s) or survive until the rescue team arrives and let them do the job of killing them (These are marines which are heavily armed and are very helpful, but try to keep them alive as there are only 3)
Alien(s) - Your job is to kill the scientists before the rescue team arrives but once the rescue team arrives, your job will be extremely tough and will require alot of sneaking around and catching them off guard.
Atmosphere - You are in a big ship, lots of hiding spots and places to get cornered. Claustrophobic areas are big here so do not get stuck in dark areas.

Map Idea 2. A squad of marines are dropped onto a planet which was run by colonists. They are searching for survivors but encounter unknown life forms. The marines are dropped in from a dropship and they are supplied with an APC (This APC can be destroyed)
There will only be 8 reinforcements and 8 classes for the Marines but will have a heavy amount of weapons available ranging from Flamethrowers, rifles, smartguns (They can autotarget, no need to aim and fire) and an APC.
The aliens will be weak in health, but can run fast, powerful hits, extremely powerful in numbers.
Atmosphere - Map has 2 large buildings. First building is a Facility, and it has a big interior, few choke points, claustrophobic rooms, dark with a few lights - some flashing, this place is mainly a base for the Marines to setup in, you can weld doors shut, set up turrets and hopefully escape through vents if anything goes wrong.
Building 2 is a hive sort of place, few stairs, big, easy to navigate through. The area outside of these building will be rocky, dark, dangerous and is not advised to walk around without the APC given to you at the start of the map.
I set up a poll of which should be made first (Yes, i will be making two of them, i might even make Map idea 1 a sequel to map idea 2)
