I think I can let off 7
anyway, that's it, beta closed, sorry people

. (that went fast )
if you didn't get a spot, the actual release shouldn't be more than a few weeks after the beta, if not a couple.
Beta-testers, I'll pm you with the uploaded files on (or before, depends how progress goes) 27th December, which is next Sunday. Got something to work to now

No it's honestly fine everyone that asked has a spot
Small Update
Ok, this is a street that hasn't been pictured much before (mainly because it was stupidly plain and unfinished). Please ignore the ridiculous texture on the buildings, it was a test that failed (

). I think someone said earlier it didn't need height difference so long as you could get up to different heights. Well theres a lot of it here:
Not finished yet, obviously, needs polishing but it's a start.
On a smaller note, I've also added the Clone Commander and Jet Trooper units to the first post. Take a look if you want

@ sampip -- I don't know if you got my PM or not, but the building textures look fine, so it's gotta be the lighting that's causing your buildings to turn green.

Try testing the map on both medium and high light settings. Some objects don't take orange or yellow light too well on high settings (Bespin objects being a good example).

They don't look paticularly green to me, atm I have lighting on high but I'll take a look on medium aswell and see if it's any different. If not, I'll adjust the lighting once more and see if it's better. Problem is, I don't want them too yellow or it might look a bit weird.
EDIT: No, medium doesn't really change it at all, must be the lighting. Are you saying I should make the light a darker yellow, more like a brown?
UPDATE:
Well I've been taking a break from this for the past few days to work on some other stuff but now I've managed to get the civilians ingame!

There are three different types of civilian, Casual (in the blue), Working Class (in the black), and Soldier Class (with the cape). Soldier class will have a limited number of grenades to throw and a fusion cutter, where all the other bothans will have nothing at all (still working on this).
Here's a quick pic:

I remember the topic where you asked how to make them carry *nothing*. I see they still have fusion cutters. Well, try putting the .odf entry for the bothan's stealth weapon. He doesn't carry a gun, and he still goes invisible. Just find the .odf line, and insert it in the weapon section. They should be running around unarmed and totally helpless to maulingI MEAN authenticity of ur map

.
Other than that, they look good.

That's because he used a normal fusion cutter weapon instead of
com_weap_inf_fusioncutter.

I haven't gotten around to taking away the weapons yet

. So are you saying that if I use com_weap_inf_fusioncutter, they won't carry anything?
EDIT: arr misread the post, yes that's true.

Why do the "working class" Bothans have ammo belts strapped to their chests?

Hmm good point, I had better change that.

Perhaps you should add a directional light so that the units have shadows? Looks very nice though.

Ha, so you did go with my idea. Remember this.
With the Bothans you could do a kind of Gungan thing where there primary weapon is a fusion cutter (to repair turrets and things) and there secondary weapon is somekind of Bothan grenade.

I don't think civilians should be wearing ammo belts...
