Transmission: Break

First of all, this isn't another map, LOL. I just wanted to let the SWBF Modding/Mapping/Modelling Community know that I am going to be taking a break from mapping for SWBF starting today and ending (hopefully) Friday.

Basically, I was getting kind of fed up with a lot of problems. Let me list them for you all:

* Thule Moon: Remnants has square explosions everywhere. I have no clue how to fix this.

* Naboo: Ouch Time! (Beta Version 0.75) was released rather than Naboo: Ouch Time! (Version 1.0) because the stupid Fambaa Shields decided to be annoying pieces of crap that didn't want to work right.

* Hoth: The Front Lines, a map for Saga Battles Mod, is being annoying too and is pissing me off. There are many problems with it, including the lighting, the bot routes and barriers, and the fact that the stupid spawn points refuse to enter the Rebel Alliance's T-47 Airspeeder Hangar.

* In my anger at Hoth: The Front Lines, I switched over and started to finish off Thule Moon: Remnants (still with stupid square explosions). Well, my friend came over and he played all of my maps. He played Naboo: Encounter (Version 3.0) and I decided that I was going to release one more version, where every vehicle was available to any team. I also had to fix a barrier. Well, upon saving it, I overwrote the Thule Moon: Remnants's .wld file. I know of no way to recover my .wld file. I even did pointless "Windows System Restores." No luck. So, it mens that I must rebuild Thule Moon: Remnants (just the .wld file, everything else is fine). But, that means that I have to place bot routes, spawn points, barriers, a boundary, crashed vehicles, useable vehicles, vehicle spawn points, crashed large ships, command posts, health/vehicle health/weapon ammo recharging droids, and other tiny stuff. Not to mention that I have to make the hills and the terrain all over again. I'm pissed. I loved the way my map was. It was perfect to me. I was actually putting finishing touches on it. Now I have to restart the .wld file.

:(

Those are the reasons on why I am taking a break for at least this week (or if I need to get back to mapping, LOL!). I will probably not be signing onto MSN Messenger too. But, -_- and OOM-9, keep working on your maps for Saga Battles Mod please!

I'll try to keep up to date with everything too.

Thanks for understanding!

I agree with everyone. Take a break to blow off some steam and recollect yourself. In fact, take as long as you feel is needed. I've been writing a book for a year now and suddenly I desided to take a break. Now that my mind is clear (it was a six months break :) ) I have found mistakes in structure, confusing statements and lineage, and other simple mistakes I would not have normally made, all because I was determined to get it over with and subconciously not concerned with the quality. Creativity needs a rest or it will become slush and mistakes will happen. I'm sure once you come back, Hoth would look better than you originally saw it as and naboo and thule will be an obvious or simple mistake that was overlooked because of your tiredness and frustration.

You've been writing a book for one year ? What theme does it treat ?

It would be classified as a science-fiction suspense. I'm trying to look for a publisher. So far I have six chapters finished and the one I had to step away from for a while I'm writing on now. I would post it, but I'm paranoid and afraid of copyright infringment.

Hey Majin, wait for psych0fred to release the Armory map. That way Encounter 3.1 will have working Hovernauts.

Wow, does this mean that all he really did before the break was mod maps? Wow, you deserve a round of applause.

Well, I can't go on a break, LOL. My way of relaxing is mapping, I cannot help it. In fact, I didn't mention that the whole time I had been updating Thule Moon: Remnants and remaking the .wld file (it's better now too).
