Why didn't they give the 360 a multiplayer duel mode?

Alright guys I've been seeing some pretty bad reviews of this game so I want to know if this game is alright before I actually go out and buy it for Wii

Rent it for a couple days to find out.
My initial impressions went thusly:
Got it for Wii, was really anticipating it, and feel somewhat let down. The storyline was the real high point of the experience, but it failed to meet expectations in a number of other areas:
Visuals - I know what the Wii can do, and this version does not take advantage of that. Some of the models/textures were unforgivably low-detail. This was made worse by the dynamically-rendered cutscenes (using the game engine).
Gameplay - Fun until about halfway through. By that point I was either tired of grinding through the same areas (Raxus Prime is particularly bad at this - they reuse essentially the same room model about 5 times in a row), or the enemies were just frustrating. There's not a huge penalty for dying (just some exp loss), which is good since I ended up dying a lot in the later levels. I could go into a room with a couple of stormtrooper variants and last maybe 15 seconds - the only saving grace is that the damage I did was held over into my next respawn. The bosses are also particularly grinding - they all feel more or less the same (although Jedi/Sith bosses were much more interesting than the AT-ST/Rancor etc.). AT-STs or Rancors were used for, combined, about half the bosses in the game.
Controls - I was really looking forward to the control scheme with the Wii, but it felt like the Wii version of a button-masher. Lightsaber combos were really flaky in terms of whether they worked or not, and some of the force moves were also pretty inconsistent in registering input.
I recently played it again for the first time since I bought it, and it grew on me... a little. I had to adapt my gameplay to make it enjoyable, though, and that's what I think it's biggest failure was. You really can't "unleash" the force any way you want it, especially once the enemies start to get more difficult.
That being said, the story was enjoyable, and the duel mode is fun. If I were you, though, I'd rent it for a couple days and see how you feel.

Did anyone else notice on the Wii version, that if you stand still with your lightsaber turned on for long enough, while wearing the sith robes or sith stalker armor, he turns his lightsaber around? It looks rather... strange, what with his lightsaber poking through his cape... so, I don't know... I just noticed it.

... Sith Stalker armor has no cape... Also, I have a question, I'm missing some characters from duel mode. I know I'm missing SSarmor apprentice and CJ robes apprentice, as well es the emperor+darth desolus. I dunno who the other person is, so could someone list all of the duel mode characters+possibly the saber hilt locations on Wii.
Also, did anybody notice that when you mind influence that imp officer on Felucia and then kill him, he calls you a Nazi (on Wii)?

When I said the thing about the cape, I was talking about the Sith Robes.

Yousaid sith robes or sith stalker armor.

Because it happens (the lightsaber turning around) with both, but the only time it's poking through the cape is with the Sith Robes... because, as you've stated, there's no cape with the sith stalker armor...

I'd like to rent it but I don't want to go through the hassle. Blockbuster is about the only local place I know of where you can rent video games. I'd use GameFly but I rarely play so it'd be a waste of money.

I rented it for the 360 and went out to purchase it after my rental expired because I loved it. I believe what they say in the reviews are correct.. but too an extent. Gameplay is indeed repetitive, but you can sort of "customize" what you are going to do instead of just hacking and slashing. The story is great and I think it deserves a movie itself.
8/10 for the 360 version, still waiting to play Wii one.

From what you guys have said I believe PS2 has the most codes because it has the codes from both the Wii and XBox lists you guys have put up

I'm kindof on the fence with the Wii version. The lack of Euphoria and DMM really make a big difference, and the camera controls really stink at times. Still, the finishing moves are a lot more fun on the Wii. Shaking a nunchuck/wiimote is more fun then pressing the buttons. Saber locks on the Wii are much better too. I only have the demo for my 360, but my buddy owns it for the Wii. We haven't played 2-player duel mode yet, but I'm sure that'll rock once I get used to the controls.

AAAAAAAAAAHGH I got it for the Wii for my birthday, but that was before I learned about the lack of DMM and Euphoria. Plus, the Wii version doesn't have a backhanded lightsaber! That's like a symbol for TFU!! It was really kinda easy, I beat it in 2 days..but it's still very satisfying to use pummel and watch everybody go flying. (I took the light side path at the end the first time, now I'm gonna kill [spoiler name deleted] and take the dark path.)

Ya, the Wii version is majorly different. But the more I think about it the more I really like it. It's really cool that it's totally different (in my case especially) because it's like playing two games on different consoles. So I'll buy it for the 360, and my buddy can play it at my house, and when I get an itching for the Wii version I'll go to his. Krome Studios did a really good job on the Wii version -- making it different enough to make you want to play, but still the same basic story so that it's "the same game". Plus they're the same studio that's working on the Clone Wars: Lightsaber Duels game, so you know it's gonna rock too.
Hands down the best single-player Star Wars game. There's still other games that are better for their open-endedness, but this is the best SP game out there.

Agree. Games like republic commando and bounty hunter were good, but not TFU.

Gotta disagree, there are a lot of better SP games. Knights of the Old Republic blows this out of the water, and any given SW flight sim - TIE Fighter, X-Wing, (their sequels), Rogue Squadron, pick one - is more fun, more challenging, and
longer. (Although the flight sims may not be exactly the vein you're thinking of.)
I might also have enjoyed SW Monopoly (PC) more.

No, it's not terrible, but there were some glaring flaws that, in my opinion, really brought down a game that in many other ways is fun.

It was shorter than I expected. Then again, most games are.
I don't think it's the best SP SW game, nothing beats KotOR.

Did anyone read the BOOK of TFU? It was very well done.
I got the Wii version. it's very fun, but looks like crap. (graphics are really my only complaint)
