I tried to remove the chunk from my droidfighter, so it just explodes and there wont be any chunk around.

When I removed the chunks and played the droidfighter it works all fine, but when I get shot down the droidfighter doesn't explodes but flies on and on and I can't control it anymore.

yes, that is the result of not having chunks, you cant do anything about it. you should use some invisible dummymesh as chunk.

a mesh thats doesnt really appear ingame (i dont think ist the official term, i just thought that it was fitting) like those used to attach effects e.g. the beachexplisions on kashyyyk etc.
