Here's a tip: if you're map is crashing, no errors were generated from the munge log, and you don't know why it crashes, then get an error/debug log. Don't know how? Check out the FAQ topic. The log will tell you what is wrong with your map.

Where is this folder located?

It's called
The FAQ / Everything You Need Thread Version 2.0 and it is stickied at the top of the
SWBF2 Modding forum. It's not that hard to miss. Here's the link anyway:

The FAQ Thread wrote:Question - I have the CD version of SWBF2 and I get a binkw32.dll error when trying to launch the BF2_modtools.exe, what's wrong?
Answer - The BF2_modtools.exe is the debug executable, copy it from the main BF2_modtools folder and paste it in the same folder as your battlefront2.exe, usually:
C:\Program Files\LucasArts\Star Wars Battlefront II\GameData
then you can launch BF2_modtools.exe and play your map to get a BFront2.log located in that same folder.
If you have the DVD version check THIS LINK for a DVD version of BF2_modtools.exe
Note to Vista users:
If you can't find your BFront2.log it may be saved to this location:
C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\LucasArts\Star Wars Battlefront II\GameData

I had a think last night and I rekon that my SWBF2 being CRACKED has something to do with this problem. So I uninstalled the cracked BF2 and re-installed the original version, to the right Dir, but when I went to click on the Battlefront2.exe it cut out at the game load screen?
So I remembered seeing something about being able to replace your Battlefront2.exe with the BF2_modtools.exe. So I did that and I went to play the game and a screen came up and said 'Plese Insert CD 1'. At this moment I was confused because I did it correctly but it wasent working. Am I missing a patch or something?
My original game files arent working for some reason.
- I just had a look and I have the DVD version, so I am downloading the right debuger now.

The BF2_Modtools.exe is, as I posted above, the debugger version. It requires the play disc, as well as having other restrictions, that make it only really suitable to testing mod maps. It's a very helpful tool.
What do you mean your BF2 is cracked? At first, I thought you meant the CD, but then you say you re-installed the "original version".... What are you trying to say?
If English isn't your first language,

Every one uses the term cracked in Australia, it means you can play without the CD/DVD
Oh great, ive got another problem. The download works but you know the dc: thing you add into the script to tell the game to read your files, well that is what is crashing my map
What I did yesterday was I uninstalled the SWBF2 game, and then reinstalled the original game files from the DVD using the install wizard, then I want to go play the game(with the disc in) and the game closed up at the first load screen. THESE ARE THE ORIGINAL GAME FILES
