Please help my map change even after munge

Hello i have been expieriencing some trouble trying to munge my map. Every time i try to munge it the map will change, but there will be no change object wise. I have an error code that appears afterwards, but i am not positive this is why it wont add my objects.

Looks like these errors are for the sound. I'm not sure this is the problem but how many game modes does your map have?

Only conquest I have no idea why this is happening though and do u know how to fix the sound bc I think it isn't working correctly either

Not sure why you get those sound errors, but if you're trying to add objects, make sure the odfs and mshs are in the data_***/worlds/*** folder, where *** is the 3-letter map name.

Sorry I forgot to mention the textures won't work either it remains the gross yavin 4 background and the odf and msh files r in the right place I have my entire map made it just munges and adds nothing to my map other than the height of the landscape

Those sound errors in the error log are completely normal, and the error log generated by the munger usually doesn't tell you much. Try doing a manual clean, there is a tutorial stickied at the top of this forum.

I had this problem before and a manual clean fixed it right up.

Are you trying to edit the sounds? If not, you don't need to check "Sound" in the visualmunge menu.

Well, um... I think it's supposed to be stored in the install location for Battlefront, but if you have Windows 7 like mine it could be here:

Somewhere along that chain of folders there could be a hidden folder, if you don't know how to show hidden folders do a computer search for: "BFront2".

You will get many results (or at least I do), at leas one of them will work. :wink:

Hmmm... Apparently there are also a lot of issues with Vista and Battlefront modding... :? That might be the issue you are having. So the map does NOT crash after you munged it, right? You can play it, right? And you checked the Battlefront 2 install location?

Make sure you run your map in the debug exe (BF2_modtools). That will generate a log with all errors of your map.

Oh yeah, thanks GAB, I completely forgot! :oops: It's just so automatic for me that I don't even realize that I do it. Make sure you copy the BF2_Modtools from the BF2 mod tools folder into the GameData folder in the install location before using it, if you have the Best of PC version of Battlefront please download the BF2_ModtoolsNODVD and put it in the above mentioned folder. Then run the mod tools, play the map on it, and then you BFront2 log will be made. :mrgreen:
