I agree with you all, Halo 2 on legendary was a hard trip. Even on co-op the first level was totally frustrating. In my opinion since Halo 2 the Halo games steadily lost on difficulty. Reach is by far the easiest for me.

As for other games I remember some spot on beyond good & evil to be hard. Haven't touched the game for a while though.

Of all the star wars game I think RC was the hardest as far as i remember, but it was still fun and not frustrating to play.

I agree with you there. I tried it on Normal and still it was pretty tough but you know it was worth it. I haven't played a really good FPS RPG in a long time since RC. LucasArts should make another one, maybe a Battlefront 3 kinda style.

Also, another tough one, Mass Effect (both of them) on Insanity. It's not THAT bad on Hardcore, but man, the tougher portions of those games are impossible for me on Insanity.

Jak II (PS2)
Possibly the hardest platformer game that I've ever played, I got stuck on parts and gave up playing the game for weeks at a time.

Star Wars Battlefront II (PS2)
This was the first 3d shooter that I ever played, I was terrible and the campaign took me forever to finish.

Gran Turismo 5 (PS3)
There are THREE 24 HOUR LONG races in the game and 6 more that are over an hour long each. Not incredibly difficult, but very difficult to complete without pausing the game.

Reach took me 15 hours (not on the same day of course...) and 249 deaths... i counted them per mission... the most frustating part was on Exodus, i didnt had anymore missiles, and there was one wraith left, and even if i had camo, it always knew where i was.... i got like 54 deaths on that mission. The easiest was The package, where i died only 9 times.

Took me a little over 30 hours to beat the game on Legendary. Although it is the first FPS game I bought for the system, and Legendary is the difficulty I started on. I pretty much have a methodology developed for each section of each mission. The SpecOps Elites on Nightfall pissed me off the most, at the part where Jun is fighting the Hunters.

Republic Commando is hard .

Tomb Raider: Anniversary was extremely difficult, and I got stuck on most of the levels. Good fun though.

Well, it was for me. Maybe becuase I got into the Halo games or because the gameplay works out great for me.

I don't remember how long it took for me though. And yeah, Exodus was the hardest for me, too.

Ever noticed that Halo:; Reach co-op doesnt makes things easier? try LNoS on gelgendary co-op, and you will notice some enemy changes,,, like a second general on the bridge.

It's a fix over the previous Halo games, I like it to be honest. Your ammo also changes depending on the amount of players

Anyway, back on topic, I found the old Battlestar Galactica game (on the PS2 and Xbox) to be hard, yet I keep playing it...

I agree with those who've said that Republic Commando is tough. Believe me, it is. I always start a campaign on Normal and even then its not a piece of cake. So much strategy involved and that's why its still one of my favorite games. Its sad that LucasArts hasn't made another one like that in a long time.

Claw. This being a rare game, I'm not sure how many of you know what this is, but it was so hard that a patch was made to make it easier. Even then, it was frustrating. Although I've owned it for more than a decade, I never made it past the second-to-last level. And guess when I got to that level? About a year or two ago, deciding I could probably beat it. Proved me wrong.

WINDOWS CHESS GAME

Seriously. Has anyone ever beat the computer? I did it once!!! It was quite an accomplishment. But even then it was on easy. IT LET ME WIN Oh well.

Super Meat Boy is one of the hardest, and most addicting games I've ever played. Thank you, Valve, for giving me 50% off.

Chessmaster is about 10x harder than the generic Windows chess game, even the older versions from the late 80s, early 90s. Heck, I've had electronic handheld chess games that provided more of a challenge than Windows. I understand that your saying computer chess programs are difficult, but as for "Most Difficult Games," the Windows version does not compare.

It can get harder than windows chess

That thing...... i only got losses and ties on that chess..... it was pretty hard.
