Adding Detail to Skins
Well, I have a skin, but I want to make it look more... damaged and dirty. Is there a brush in Gimp that does this? Thanks.

I'm pretty sure there are fuzzy and blur tools. And you can always use the color selector to select small pieces of the skin and only color them.

Also, follow the main rule of digital image editing. Work in layers. Make a new transparent layer and add dirt on that layer. That way you can play around with it more without screwing up badly, or try different dirt patterns, and some effects can only be done by stacking layers.

Re: Adding Detail to Skins
good way for scratches etc is to use brush with 1 pixel and 50/40%, white or black, so you can make the middle pixels whiter/blacker than the outer pixels
if you want to make holes in the armor, black with 100 % and 1 pixel, draw a elipse(not a round circle, looks a bit unreal), fill it and at the sides use a dark grey...i should make a new tga with only a hole in it and transparent
