After a quick search I found new images leaked the 20 of Dicember. It shows the menus from the XBox 360 version.

Apparently there were going to be huge interiors on the battleships. The player was able to even get to the command centers of the cruisers.

You can also observe that you could choose your character class and equipment. The customization many of us were waiting for.

The amout of planets isn't that great, but the game's quality is amazing.

Elite Squadron: The Rest of BF III

I got Elite Squadron for this Christmas and could experience what I feared. The characters, the storyline and the gameplay come from BF 3. You can perfectly recognise each hero and how Rebellion has reused the stuff used on the dead BF 3 we all know. It's basicly its PSP version.

And that's why I've connected the PSP to my TV. Elite Squadron is the best BF by far. Each capital ship has different interiors (depending on the faction), and they are all bigger that those four rooms from BF II. There is mele and you can even equip your character with force pike.

But I think it's more important that they just seem to have gone one step further. BF II was just a slightly enhanced copy of BF I, and Renegade Squadron wasn't yet very different. BF Elite Squadron simply forgets was it has behind. The game no longer reuses that Mos Eisley cantina we all know, it has a bunch of new models. The scenes layout look really good, superb I must say. Space battles are boring no more. In fact, battles in general seem to bee much more varied.


Battlefront III: In the Making

www.battlefront3.com was able to speak with several people, including a voice actor. The info they obtained: Battlefront 3 is in the making and will be released in the early or middle 2010.

That's the Xbox version, isn't it? I was hoping they'd have some screenshots of the PC version.

They are concept shots so I doubt they are actual in-game images. They could very well be though. And I doubt that LucasArts' tech support and Gamestop workers know anything concrete about the game unless it's finished, since that's usually when the retailers are told about the release and are allowed to give any information on it.

I have every reason to be wrong though.

I'm calling BS here. The day that SWBFIII.com comes up with some legitimately sourced info will be the day that BFIII comes out.

I'll take the release as release that it exists. At E3. Still cool images. I do like how they show off the battle spawn points.

Stunned...anyone have a translation for that first image? I'm just curious...

It's funny how Free Radical are UK based yet the first image isn't in english... unless they had a foreign concept artist .

Beat me to it, but yeah, Web Developers, and anyone who regularly creates templates that involve lots of text usually use it as a placeholder.

It's just a tad weird , everything else is in english except that section. But a placeholder sounds credible, I'm no expert in how things are developed .

Seeing that is like a kick in the face.
I've played Coruscant on ES and it's quite possibly my favorite map on there.
Playing it on the 360 would be awesome, with my random kamikaze "landings" on the area under the Republic Gunship, but it probably will never happen now, unfortunately.

I hope we get some leaked images for PC soon.

Hahha, I find it pretty funny that they used Lorem Ipsum. But yeah, I use Lorem Ipsum as a placeholder for my websites all the time. It's just nice to see text there even before you know what the page will say.

Yeah, they're probably real. Now I'll leave you you to speculate whether or not this means BF3 is being released, and I don't think it proves that, but w/e

I doubted their legitimacy before but that was wrong of me, the screens do seem to be real, there's no reason why they wouldnt be ingame images if the game was almost complete.

Im sure LucasArts is probably going to keep the same story even though Elite Squadron has it, since writing a new story for the game is going to push it back another good year or two. I personally believe that LucasArts is internally developing the game, it's much too near completion for them to totally scrap it, plus they must know that the Battlefront franchise is essentially a jackpot.

What is Elite Squadron? Because from what Ive gather here, I don't know if it's been released yet, if it's only PSP, etc.

Its a game released in October? for the PSP and DS.

It's basically the PSP and DS version of Battlefront III, most likely intended to be those pathetic "If it makes money, that's great!" portable games that come out with the major games such as LotR Conquest DS, Transformers DS, and The Force Unleashed PSP.
However, with the delay of the real game and Rebellion having finished their version of the game, Lucasarts just made them change the name and sold it as something new. It's fun and all, but it really needs a 360 and PC port.
How can I tell that it's BF3? It has the same plot, maps, same cutscenes, and if you open the UMD's files on a way I'm not mentioning here, there's even an alternate "Battlefront III" title logo stashed away in there.
