There are a lot of folders in my Sides-folder (like CIS, TUR, REP...) but each folder only contains these two files (.bat files actually :?): clean.bat & munge.bat, I can't find the anims or .lvl files anywhere..

JimmyAngler wrote:yep I had the same problem, try this :
http://www.filefront.com/13892962/munge_fix.zip

extract all the folders into your C:/ BF2ModTools/data
and select yes whan asked.
Then remunge your data_***(three letter map name) and test again.

Do you have an addon folder in your BF2 gamedata? C:/Programfiles/LucasArts/Battlefront2/GameData/ addon.

If you don't have it just make one. Don't forget the 1.3 patch.

Hope this helps. :D

P.S. I respond quickly too :)
and you tryed this?? can you give us the report when you munge??
So what the output says when mungeing. and errors if there are some.

Just a question; JimmyAngler said I have to put the folders of the VisualMungeFix in my ModTools/Data, are you sure I don't have to put it in my Data_xxx folder?

you need to put it in both.
ModTools/Data folder: All maps you creat new have the fix.
for old project you need to put them in there manual. try it. it should work

Tried it, and still no result.. Maybe there's just something wrong with my CD or my BF2 version? :?

Follow the instructions when using the mungefix. There are only 3 steps. The vistamungefix.bat file in the fix was set up to copy from the BF2_modtools\vistamungefix folder. Your folder structure should look like that to run the vistamungefix.bat successfully and this will only affect new projects.

EDIT
This has nothing to do with the CD, DVD or digital download version of SWBF2. Steam installs it to a different location but that is the only difference and you can set the correct path in VisualMunge.

CommanderSquirrel wrote:But I decided to test wether I could play custom maps, so I downloaded two custom maps, put them in my Addon folder and they both didn't show up in the list either.
This seems strange, but could be some kind of permissions problem with Windows 7.

Alright, I finally got it to work! I can see my test map in the list in orange letters! :D
However... :s when I add my map and try to play it, I get redirected to my desktop and I get this error: 'Fatal: could not find mission.lvl'; what does this mean and how do I fix it? :?

that means that there is no mission.lvl ;)

there should be one in your ..\addon\XXX\data\_LVL_PC folder.

All files you need for a simple map (just munged, nothing changed)
..\addon\XXX\data\_LVL_PC
core.lvl
mission.lvl
..\addon\XXX\data\_LVL_PC\SIDE
all your sides lvl. e.g.:
rep.lvl
imp.lvl
cis.lvl
all.lvl
..\addon\XXX\data\_LVL_PC\XXX
XXX.lvl
..\addon\XXX\
addme.lvl

check if there are all these files in your folder. If not you can copy them manual from your
C:\BF2_ModTools\data_XXX\_LVL_PC folder

There is no LVL_PC folder in my Data_***..? :?
I've searched everywhere in my ModTools folder but I can't find a mission.lvl anywhere.
