Scaled Doors

Post by Lorul1 »

Hello again. I'm almost done my map, and im trying to use doors to cover up some parts that people should see or go into. i used scaled my doors using this torturial here to cover up those places that are just to big for normal doors. When my doors were scaled they looked correct ,scaled and everything was good, but you can just walk right through them kinda like a hologram and I don't want that.im using the Cis_prop_door. it's scaled but you can just walk right through it I also tryed useing the spa1_prop_impdoor , same thing. You can have my msh.option if you wish but I believe scaled I did every thing right but. The door is the Cis_prop_door and is scaled to 3.0 so u can test it in your game if you want. There is a simple solution, softimage but I don't know how to use it. so if someone would like to scale the using softimage then that will be appreciated :greeny: . If there's a way to fix this scale glitch then please tell me.

Scaling per option file often results in messed up collision or the model becoming invisible from certain angles. Simplest thing to for you is to place an object with collision directly behind the door - if I get you correct they aren't supposed to open.

Well I guess I could put small normal doors in the big door. so the player wouldn't see the small door. it's just that I don't want to go over the object limit. Is there anyway how to get the collisions on scaled objects to work without softimage. If there's not ill probably end up puting the smaller door into the big one
