If your familiar with Linux, its so you can move applications to a different desktop basically and keep everything orginazed.

I like that picture (especially since I live a few miles away from NASA). Just use a image editor and shrink the entire image until the top and bottom match your screen resolution. The only catch is that you will get two little envelopes on the side. And make sure you don't use stretch when you're applying the picture to your desktop.

That's exactly what it is. It's just four virtual desktops.

Makes it easy to manage desktop space or to change your wallpaper. :P

@Lase, Karnage - OK, cool... Yeah, I've got Ubuntu upstairs, and it's got something like that I guess. It's pretty useful...
