When I play RC multiplayer and join a server, I can join for roughly 2 seconds then there is a message along the lines of "Your CD key is invalid or in use by another player" and forces me to leave the server.

I have the patch, a legal CD key, and have it installed on another system besides the one I play on. I have a copy of the 2nd CD, and I installed with that one. Any ideas?

Well I can't solve your problem but I just wanna put in my advice.... MP stinks! It's not worth it.

What kind of comment was that? It wasnt even relevant to anything he was asking. And MP rocks. It's just you that think it stinks.

Yeah, you cant play two comps with one CD. You'd need to get another copy.

Someone is using your CD key (or you got yours from the internet somewhere ) and like face said, there's nothing you can do about that really, but buying a new copy.

You sure you got a legel version?

The strange thing is that I was able to before, but I uninstalled it. Later, when I reinstalled it, I get that message every time. If I delete it on the other PC, would that help?

Yes, Unless retail stores are selling illegal versions, than no

Actually, they could be "technically" selling an illegal copy. Someone probably has a keygen and it came up with your number. You happened to buy it without knowing (how could you have known?) and now you're flagged. Also they could've flagged it seeing that it was on two comps (though unless you logged on successfully once then logged on the second afterwards, doubt it). Those are two possibilities. Best to try and contact LA for that one. They might give you a new key. (emphasis on might.)

They'll give you a new key as long as you have the receipt of purchase, game manual, original CD key, and the CD itself.
