WIP Geonosis: Hills, 90%

This is a map I started a terribly long time ago. It is not actually relevant to the actual Geonosis battle plot, But I think its pretty cool :P. I made all the blasters realistic (more time between firing, bolts that look good actually, etc.)

CIS (CIS Vangaurd)

CIS Hero-

The Republic and CIS have 4 Cps each. There are 3 sections of Battle: A diamond of four CPs, where the main fighting is. Behind one of the CIS cps, there is a tunnel which has a CIS spawnpoint in it. This tunnel leads to the second section of the map, a small valley where an LA-AT Gunship is landed. The CIS try to block the clones from coming into the tunnels. Between the LA-AT and the tunnel entrance on the West wall is another tunnel, which leads to the 3rd battle section. The Republic has landed 3 LA-AT gunships in the large dip in the hills. They expect no trouble from the CIS at getting into the tunnel, but CIS droids poor down a hill in large forces decimating the Clones. Overall, a fun map!

Things that need doing...

-Spiff up the sides-Done
-Add more barriers and paths in tunnels (oh joy... :wink:)
-Remove GCW Era-Done
-Create Hero for CIS (Republic will have no hero)-Done
-Relocalize some things that're too cheesy to be allowed-Done
-Add Loadscreen

If you want advice, I'd suggest changing the sky to the Geonosis sky (BF1 or BFII) instead of the default, and slightly editing the clone skin. Right now the clones look like they're made out of cheese. Maybe make only some parts of the armor orange instead of the whole thing.

Other than that, excellent idea for a map :)

Looks like a good start.

Suggestions:
Don't make a large area have the same texture. Try to use different textures whenever possible
Add some more objects, like turrets, rocks, or other things to make the map more interesting
Some hills look a bit too steep
Change the sky

Compliments:
Nice tunnel system from what I can see now.
I love how the CIS in the fourth picture are coming down from the hill and slaughtered that clone. :twisted:

er.... Help? The shadows for some reason show through the cliffs and hills.

I would guess it's because your settings are on low. If not, then I've no idea what's causing it.

Turn off shadows and see if it's still there. I know a lot of BF1 objects had that problem.

If you want to get rid of GCW, remove this in your addme LUA (located in data_***\addme (*** = 3 letter mod ID)):
era_g = 1,

I like it personally. And yes, I might photoshop in the Crosshairs. Good idea.
