Maximum rank is Warrant Officer Grade 3. It says you can go to Captain but when you hit that rank the word "Captain" becomes "Max Rank" and you remain a Warrant Officer Grade 3.

So is an adapter for my 360 still worth getting even though I don't have that much time left for the beta?

Adapter? Like HDTV adapter? I'm not sure what you're talking about. If you're talking about a wireless adapter, then no. They're like 50+ bucks. Amazing as it may be, I could never spend 50 or more dollars for a beta that lasts less than two weeks more.

You've still got quite a while. However, if you only want a wi-fi adapter just for the beta, it's not worth it. Of course, if you bought it just for LIVE, then it will be worthwhile, though will cost $150 if you buy the adapter new from a retailer and add in a year of XBL.
So far, I love Invasion. It's so much fun, regardless of your team, though it's a little more fun as the Spartans in my opinion. Invasion Slayer, however, is a total drag, though I can tell if Bungie upped their player cap from 12 to 18, then it would be a blast.

Yeah, I wasn't planning on it but then after hearing how much fun you guys are having with the beta I thought I would go ahead and get it. I haven't played on live at all and so I believe I still have my three-month-free thing but I'm gonna wait until the game actually gets released and with all the bugs fixed cuz Reach is the main thing I wanna play with my three-month thing and so I don't want to waste it on the two weeks left of the beta.

Well, in the meantime you can finish up all your achievements on ODST.

Eh, not much of a fan of ODST even though I do like the firefights.

You know, once Reach is released we should get a bunch of us and get on a server and just have some fun smacking at each other. But remember, we should try to limit the cussing.

I play with Fusion, Thire and JSM26 (does he have a Gametoast nick?) when I play in parties - none of us swear, and if one were to come out I'm sure it'd be a rarity. You just gotta link up with Xbox Live friends then mute everyone else.

And honestly, unless your 6 year old brother or sister is in the room, it doesn't really strike me as that big of a deal.

Sorry to compound the problem, but...Invasion is the greatest multiplayer mode I've ever played. It's filled with epic moments that would outshine most Campaign modes - but in Invasion, those moments are created by player-player interaction. Instead of Bungie setting up the awesomeness, the Spartans and Elites create it themselves. It's incredible, and it really makes you feel like you're part of the war. Though for the record, I greatly prefer Spartans (which is probably just because I dislike the Covenant weapons).

Personally, I think Invasion Slayer is an incredible experience in its own right - some matches suck, but if you get a good player on your Fireteam, you can pull off some awesome "teamwork" moments.

Invasion is really great yes, but I'm not sure what Bungie was talking about when they said the elites were stronger than the Spartans. Because a team of Spartans overpowers any team of Elites so far from what I've seen.

Yeah, Reach is pretty much awesome. I prefer invasion slayer myself though, it lasts longer. Though its not like Bungie is being innovative with the invasion gametype, they just made a step towards they type of gameplay that everyone else already has. Sorry about the rantlet, but I'm coming off of years of halo hating here.

Also, Fusion is right, we certainly do swear (*GASP*).

Last two days have been the best days of my life, partially due to Reach.

I'm loving the pistol right now! It's great to run around shooting ppl and then beating them down! Anyone got any tips for the pro pipe (grenade launcher)?
