Hey,

I want to know how i can do a kitbash, for exemple i want to add a pauldron, and remove stuff on one model.

Everytime i dropped the chunk under DummyRoot the model looks fine in mshviewer, but ingame there is no model at all :o

EDIT:

With Modtool 7.5 how i can do in order to drop the number of polygons?

Thx.

I recently found out how to do this, so here is what I do!

Click on the object you want to put on the unit, in this case a pauldron, and set it to where you believe it should sit on the trooper & make sure that you "Freeze All Transforms"

Press "8" to open the "Explorer" window and press "L" now you should see a bunch of bones and everything else in your Scene Root.

Press "2" and it should take you to "Animate."

Now go and click on the pauldron and on the left side you should see "Envelope" click on it and press "Set Envelope." Look for the bone_neck and click on it, through the "Exlporer" and then once you have done that, right click off of the model.

Hopefully this helps you out.

I'm still new at this work, where is exactly "Freeze All Transforms"?

I'll try in a few hours, but wow thanks for the tut, :D it works with head placement too? If i want to change the head of the old model by a new one for exemple.

Thank you MissingTexture :)

Ah, Marth beat me to it. But that's exactly where it is!

Well for me, I "cheat" when it comes for the head replacement :funny2:

I normally take off the polygons that go up to the chin, then envelope the model of the head to the head_bone!
