Well, I came up with the idea to make a mod called Saga Battles, where the battles are just like the movies or very similar. Obviously, the idea also came from me because of my Naboo: Ouch Time! map, which is almost a replica of the batlle in TPM.

I talked to Lord Bandu one day, but he didn't want to because of SWBF 2's near release.

But, I really think this idea would be cool. When SWBF 2 is released, we could move over to that.

So, who's with me? I can assemble the forums. I need staff members and MANY mappers. But, there are requirements to joining this mod:

* You must have mapping experience (must have released a map or be very close to doing so).
* You must make the battle similar to the movie (any battle of the movie), extremely similar. So similar, that you couldn't do something like add Imperial Phase II Dark Troopers to Endor or Hoth.
* You must be willing to have every vehicle, weapon, and soldier name be correct (as they should be). I mean, like my maps. The localization files can be sent to me and I can do it.
* You must be a fluent English speaker/writer. We don't need any mis-communication here.

Well, that's about it. Tell me what you all think. It's kinda stupid, but if we work together, it could be great.

i have an idea, you can do, say the Republic side of geonosis and ill do the CIS side.

For the CIS side, the geonosians have those pikes... you should give em electrostaff, sonic blaster, and fusioncutter...

And since the Republic didn't have Jet troops there... maybe you should replace them with the "Jedimale" odf file... With force powers, of course.

Geonosians who use a pike are the picadors of the arena ! It's just used on Reeks, Nexus and Acklays... It's not a true melee weapon.

that is not what I meant....i meant he does the part of geonosis where the republic has landed and I do the part where the cis landers are. 2 maps

okay i dont get it..... I'm doing the map OUTSIDE the arena... where u blow up tecno unions, coreships, etc...

You do the part of the battle where the CIS has the job of blowing up landed republic transports, and there are a few techno ships there, and I do the part where there are two core ships and a few techno ships and the republic comes from two forward command centers.

So, you guys like the idea I seem to understand. We need to start on this mod ASAP. Start your mapping engines. Before you start mapping, lemme get the forums online.

I like the idea... unfortunately Hoth really is the only saga battle I can think of I'd like doing...

Hoth or the DeathStar Trench...

If I cannot have Hoth (Diet Dr. Pepper you majin!!) then I claim the DS Trench Run...

I'll just have to make the Hoth map anyways and release it seperately when the mod comes out... *shifty eyes*
