I've been trying to find some time to re-read the documentation, and when I opened it today, all I got was a bunch of random characters with the paragraphs in between them.

What am I doing wrong/what is the recommended program to open the docs with?
I seem to remember it having pictures as well.....

Doc files don't open well with notepad or wordpad. I suggest using OpenOffice.org (it's free), which can be used with a lot of document formats.

Correct...
I guess I need to re-install OpenOffice now, that's probably what I used years ago when I last read the docs.
