i am new to here and swbf modding and was wondering could sombody please tell me what tools you need to make your own skins and how to make and install them

i have a pc with the dvd rom version of swbf

ok i got that to work but when i try to change the acr troopers skin he just looks all black except for his kama and neck thing help please

Make sure when you save "RLE compression" is unchecked. If it isn't, the skin will be ruined.

not ruined, just wont work with the modtools, you can fix it easily enough by saving as and unchecking RLE compressoin

"It will be ruined" = not exactly the right choice of words, since you can fix it easily by resaving it, thus the skin won't get ruined, just temporarily unusable until it's resaved.

when i save the gimp file or when i save the msh file??

also let me c if i have this procces right open gimp 2.6 then find the bfb mod namerep msh file open it then find the clone skine i want to edit then edit it then mung the mod name thing the replace the rep lvl with the new one in bfb addons is that right ???

also wehn i edited another skin and then munged the mod it dident show that the rep lvl in bfb addon had been edited

i got 1 to work but when i try to edit cis blue battle droide it looks luike just a bunch of squars with vary slight colers behind how do i chang it so i can edit it with out those boxes

Hmm, I don't think you can. You might just have to work with it that way. Or you might be able to find skins you're looking for and download them. But I thought that a Super Battle Droid would look better blue. It looked terrible.

ahh how come some are like that but otheres are not???

I'm sorry I can't tell you. But the Super Battle Droid has a skin that's not like that.
