Problem: Crashing without FATAL, whenever the screen should show imps.
here are the areas where there are problems.
- Whenever at team selection, the empire is team 1 (showed first), it crashes
- Whevever at team selection, if empire is not team 1 and i move my mouse to click "Empire" right when it gets to it, it crashes
- i can play as rebels (when they are team 1) but empire never spawns
Basically whenever the screen should display any part of the Empire, the game crashes to desktop.

(I have already tried replacing my v1.3 imp and impshell.lvl with the v1.2 patch imp and impshell.lvl but no solutioin)
(I have had some problems with the v1.3 patch, but everything else works fine)
(I CANNOT reinstall the v1.3 patch. there is no way whatsoever (trust me i have tried) . so dont try to tell me to do it)

Have you downloaded any mods or working on a mod that involves editing the empire?

I have never downloaded a sides mod

Uh... My only solution would be to munge all of the default sides and replace the sides

Im talking about shipped and downloaded/custom maps that use default imps.

I can play through ANYTHING that doesnt use default imps

Like I said, munge the empire and replace the one in the default sides folder.

sorry, i dont have BF2 modtools.
and whenever I download it, it gives me some weird error. (and i dont even use it that much)
Can you or someone else munge only the imp side (the rest are fine) and email it to me? that would be so helpful.
I cant play half the maps that come out because of this stupid error

If he's done this properly, a new imp side won't help, it could be something else is wrong. A reinstall should fix this.

oh and the way bf2 modtools doesn't work is that...
well the story is, once i had modtools fully functioning, then I
uninstalled it, then i tried downloading again and then it wont even get
to the install menu. I tried different downloads.

No, what I meant is that I upload the .exe (the one that gives you the error log) to filefront, you download it, and we see what the problem is. I am determined to help you fix your problem. I'm not giving up on you yet.
