The Gameinformer article has shown us that Portal 2 will be all about using the portals to manipulate physical forces and changing the properties of things.

Dangit, Valve. I'm kind of starting to lose faith in them, simply because they've been really annoying and indecisive lately.

Well, this delay could be a good thing... remember how Half-life 2 was supposed to be? Sure there was a good amount of cool things that was cut (I want mah flare gun!! ), but ultimately their "revision" made the game better, more streamlined; they removed the redundant guns, made the atmosphere somewhat less 'in your face' and changed Alyx's design from that of a generic video-game female sidekick to a more realistic character.

They aren't delaying the game because they spent all of their money on cake, no, they do this sort of thing because they believe they can make a good game even better, and normally they are correct.

I like 99% of the time trust Valve when they delay a game or updates, specifically tf2. It never has bugged, but I will say it was out of the blue. I thought for a second that there was enough time for Valve to release it only like a week late from their first target date.

Er, I didn't mean lose faith in them. I meant I was simply getting annoyed, as I've been waiting so long for a Valve game I can buy. I will, however, lose all faith if their new E3 reveal is L4D3.

I hope their E3 reveal is HL2:EP3. THAT would make my day.

Well, it is supposed to be Portal 2 related, which makes me want to think that Portal 2 IS Episode 3, which is why they're taking so long.

Although I'm betting it will end up being that Portal 2 will have achievements.

I personally hope their E3 surprise is Source Engine 2. And possibly the next installment in the Half Life Series running on it....

I think this surprise is related to the ARG somehow (they did say "suspend until E E E").

Ha, don't worry Fluffy. Actually I didn't even read the above posts besides Nihillo. Haha, I will laugh if it's L4D3. If anything they just do some kind of prank with L4D3 to mess with us. I hope they do. They're masters at pranks nowadays.

That they are. I read the story about their TF2 hat idlers thing, leaving people who idled with idling programs alone for I think a few months, then out of nowhere removing all of their hats and giving the non-idlers halos. They won.

Portal 2 looks awesome! But that was not the surprise I was hoping for. :/

The coop mode sounds pretty interesting, and the gameplay video looks cool with the weird paint stuff.
