I have heard that is is possable to make a makeshift mic w/ a pair if earphones. Is this possably and (if it is) who do you do it?? :?

lol, yep simply plug the headphone cable into the mic socket, it works, not briliantly but it does work! However why not just buy a cheap microphone, you'll get better quality.

1) Im broke
2) My mom wont let by by anything till after x-mas cuz she thinks the comp is taking away from school.
2.5) Also she doesnt think i need one cuz she doesnt know im in a clan or use teamspeak :lol:

And I hate to ask this really stupid ?? but which/where is the mic socket? (ok im a noob at hardware i admit it)

it will either have a very small mic inscribed next to it (mic), or it will have an arrow pointing into a circle (line in)

usually in the back of a computer, or the side of a laptop
