I haven't really gotten anymore progress done for a while. So, until I have an update, I request this to be locked until my 'helpers and I' get something more done. lol. Heck. I'm still having the troubles of getting this bad boy in-game to see if the eariness of the map is 'Talay-ish' enough. Not only that. But...eh, well you get the point.
So, any mod can do this for me for right now would be greatly appreciated. I'll let you know when I want it unlocked for an update. ^_^

Cool, that looks really good, do you have a story or anything for the map? Like why the Imperials are there.

I my self arn't sure I will go back to my Dark Forces game to find out (first appearence of Kyle Katarn and Talay Tak base) but I think it surved 2 perposes:
1. test the Dark Troopers abilities
2. root out Rebels and their cohorts.

The Wookieepedia says that this battle was fought to demonstrate the power of the dark troopers project, in order to impress Lord Vader
I just read that one Darktrooper hid in fleeing Rebel transport ship and killed all of it's crew. Is there any chance to have this one floating above the battlefield, with a Rebel CP and some hallways in it ?
PS:
I just noticed that this assault was fully carried out by Darktroopers. No stormies. Will you take this into account ?

Maybe you could make them all "darktroopers" but they would have all the wepaons a storm would have. :troop: Like a troop with a rifle, a rocketeer, a sniper, etc.

Btw, I also suggest some of the Cloud City buildings

Update:
I reskinned the Tatooine Buildings to grayscale (subject to change. I need more mossy type buildings. Ruined urban environment buildings. Skeletal corpses, etc.)
As for the crashing going on... the crashing stopped. I am now able to get in. Sadly, I can't spawn, but I still assigned the teams, so, yea. lol
I added water. It looks rather good. I removed some floating objects and objects that were out of place.
As for the sides, I wanna deal with the map itself before sides come in.
Yes, I've decided to have the Imperial side all Dark Troopers. But in different phases. I'll have to reskin the magnaguard to be a phase 1 for now. And I need weapons that fit the dark trooper. EG- It's shield and arm mounted blade.
For the phase 2. I plan on having one with an Assault Cannon, one with an Imperial Repeater, and one with a Stouker Concussion Rifle, and maybe one with a Packard Mortar. Now. I want some guys to model those for me. I'll try to get screens of those.
Phase 3, I think I'll give him ... umm... a modified assault cannon maybe. Or perhaps something else, you think of something.
As for the Rebel side, I'll have them all basically Tantive troopers. Reskinned to fit ranks. Also, for the weapons effects on all these, I wanna get them close to original trilogy-like blasts.
Can someone help me with some of this? If so, thanks. Also, I'm going to change the sky to that of the Talay level. I am downloading the DF mod for JA and I'll get the sky out of there and see if it'll work. :/
Who wants to join me to get this map out quicker? And make it more... 'realistic' 'canon' ?

Hmm. Somehow I feel as if no one is interested in my map anymore. Sorry, just how I feel, but if isn't true just tell me. Cause no one's been replying to my updates or really much my modding questions in the modding forums. I kinda feel... ignored ... in some fashion. I'm sure this isn't true, but I dunno.
*sigh* I also can assure you guys that my map is looking much better indeed. It's less...well... sloppy.

Grass...I just love plain grass in maps, for the phase 3 Dark Trooper...the modified assault cannon, the bolt caster, and blast cannon?
Thats all I can think of, I can't really help with the modding stuff, because I'm not a modder. I'd love to see a new clone legion...if possible....he..hehe...
But if BETA testing is not required for multiplayer, I can help out for Single Player. ^^

^_^ First I have to get it tackled. And sorry to say this is gonna be a GCW map. Because that's when the testing of the Dark Troopers took place. When the testing comes I'll reserve you a spot for a beta tester on my map. ^_^
Also. This map has no more grass on it. Lol. Cause it's urban. It's a pain in the arse making an urban map, but hey, we don't see too many good urban maps around here. So, I'm making Talay. And ooh, when I'm finally able to spawn, I'll have to take a screen of what the sky looks like. The sky's a bit stretched out and stuff, but it's the 'actual' Talay sky from DF.

Oh nevermind about the grass, I liked grass fields because its really relaxing, I don't have to concentrate on battle. But urban maps are cool as well, especially with debris. Looking forward to see the whole Dark Trooper team. I don't really like the default Dark Trooper in SWBF II but Dark Troopers with rifles are going to be so agile ^O^

Great news! I got everyone spawning!
Bad news- AI are stupid as hell. lol They are following the paths I set... well some of them. But a few are falling into the river and drowning themselves.... LOL
But I took a few screens lemme get my first page updated. I'll work more on the layout with getting buildings to be taller (well just adding more buildings on top of one another to make them look multi-storied. Gonna add some more boxes. Gonna fix the paths up a bit. And also the bots are spawning in random locations.

So great news there!
Soon I'll be making the sides and new effects. Hopefully. lol. I just need to read the custom documentations here on how to make sides.
But I'm happy that atleast me and my AI are spawning! Oh and btw, I'll reskin the Dark Troopers to be more....well...Dark.

Oh and I'll need to read the new music/sound tutorial too.
