I know this post is slightly over a month since the last one but there is a really good preview with the game director Tod Howard at g4tv.com:
The Elder Scrolls 5 First Look Preview Part 1: Welcome to Skyrim
The Elder Scrolls 5 First Look Preview Part 2: Trouble in Riverwood, Questing, and Dragons
Really great info about the dragons in the game.

I have never played an Oblivion game before, but I started paying attention to this one because I'm a fan of Fallout, and I have to say, this game looks impressive and very fun. I'm probably going to be picking it up on launch. The dragons look awesome btw.

I'm coming to it from having played Oblivion, and the improvements in the new game is what I've been hoping for. In Oblivion every NPC outside the cities would attack you, whereas now it's more random, and react more to your actions which is more realistic. I never played Fallout 3 but it sounds like they are adding a similar perk system although the worlds are very different.

Wooh! Skyrim was just released yesterday, and there's an awesome review
here. I'm surprised nobody's commented on this sooner.
Hopefully it'll play ok on my old core 2 duo laptop....it looks far better then oblivion, and that's saying something..
EDIT: According to
steam, there are over 143,000 people playing this game right now, only a day after release........Thats CRAZY! Bethesda must be making a killing off this game; 143,000 people x $90 each = $12, 870, 000....And thats JUST steam, let alone ps3, xbox and pc disk owners.....

Just got it this morning for PC, and all I can say is it's an awesome game. I just hope I can pull myself away from it occasionally.
My PC only has a dual core as well and it plays flawlessly.

This is one of the most critically acclaimed games to come out in a long time, and this is day one. I loved/love Oblivion, so...
I can not express
how much I want Skyrim.

I hope my computer can play it, it
should be able to on low settings.

I don't know what it is about the game, but it reminds me of Pandemic. Can't say why. I actually wasn't interested at all in this game until a few days before its release. Now I'm sadfacing because there's no mac version.

You can always bootcamp it....

I'm REALLY considering that. Although I'm not certain how that'll go given that I use a laptop.

I'm bootcamping right now - windows xp on a core 2 duo with 1gb ram....the computer runs totally fine. Seriously, if you have the right disks, i think just go for it. If you don't like it you can always remove it later....

[Hijack] Hang on, if you can bootcamp this game why can't you bootcamp League of Legends? [/Hijack]
If I had any amount of money, I would most probably buy this game. It looks pretty epic.
