If you don't recognize the ship, you don't belong here.

Needs a higher res texture (unless its a LOD model) and you have some stretching near the bridge towers. Other than that, quite nice.

As far as I can tell, it would be horribly inconsistent for me to give the Venator a higher rez texture than all the other ships.

It would be horribly inconsistent to keep that texture the same size. That is an extremely lowrez texture, especially compared to the rest of BFII's textures.

All of the capital ship models I am using will have textures similar to that one. Cannot raise the resolution of them anyway. They are made from 500x500 renders.

Perhaps this will raise framerates at high graphic settings for many people. BF1 is always running at top framerate (75 fps, even on Yavin) and it frankly looks better than BF2, which never has a framerate at same settings of over 30 fps. Makes BF2 look like it was rushed, and released incomplete.

It was rushed for the release of Episode III

I agree though, BF1 looks better

And you obviously didn't bother to try and understand what I said.

You're right, he didn't. However, he did reiterate a point that you didn't address when it was mentioned earlier - you talked about consistency and it was brought up (and then again here) that it wouldn't be consistent with SWBF2's current models. You then started talking about your own models and what you could and couldn't do.

There's nothing wrong with either of your threads of communication, please don't jump on his case for bringing up a valid point.

I'd add to the conversation by saying that any framerate "benefit" you think you'll have is far past a point of diminishing returns. If you're using a 500*500 texture (scaled to whatever size) for a non-lowrez model that large, then it's going to look seriously tacky in-game. Your other models are similar - they look fine at a distance, but if you're talking about scaling them to a reasonable size for a map, they'll look bad.

You haven't put anything in-game to test it out yet, which I would suggest doing, because it's important to have some perspective on what your work is going to look like.

A larger and more accurate hangar for Mon Calamari Star Cruisers. Based off of Home One's hangar in Return of the Jedi. (reference pic 1) (reference pic 2)

It was modeled directly off of the Mon Calamari Cruiser's hangar in the game, so it will fit perfectly in the hole where the hangar goes, and it also has doors that should connect perfectly with the auto turret room. I just need to convert it through XSI, add lights, and all that fancy stuff that I definitely don't know how to do *cough*
