I do agree with you Super_Shadow, but my opinion is to keep it star wars.. This way the theme is the same, and you might even use your mods for more games (you 3dmodel for example) Is Jedi Knight Academy an idea?

all things in life are always in transition. Gt will not die - since I like the name gametoast alot I'll never get the domain expire. I used to run way too many sites , for all sorts of game, im just really into home based games right now like dungeons and dragons and console rpgs with my gal (mostly norrath type games) so i just dont do alot or expand too much as , just like the [GT] clan idea these are just suggestions of other people. gt is my only project site so its cool that after 6 years doing sites this one is the one i prefer to keep and have it up regardless what its for. I love the site and wont be closing for lack of any users at all. its a place i go when i get all my web work done and i know there will be at least 5 people who read my rants about tofu abuse. I made this site along time ago to offer mods for a game that , at the time, was unmoddable, i prefer making mods for games that the devs, dont provide tools for, once the games are being modded thats cool but for me im ready for the next star wars game to mod! I thought about so many games to add to the site, but compared to all the swbf titles they get almost unused. Not sure what else we can add, here, people wanted a halo area, a bf2142 area and just like all new games those areas are unused and new games cause those areas to be forgotten. This is a giant run on sentence. I think once I find a game I truly think we all will mod and its all legal , we can do that. For now I will enjoy your mods, and my friends here at gt. If people leave, mods move on, admins go fishing...I shall always be here in my little web hole ...for now im gonna play portal on my xbox 360 and eat some more toast.

I see what you mean guru, and I'm probably one of those 5 people who would read your rants on tofu. I guess the community is the most important part of the forum.. I also see what you mean where we ask for something and then we never follow through except for Star Wars because we tend to be a starwars community. Its also probably I'm not use to alot of the new guys, I'm use to the 1st generation GT who were probably and no offense to anyone here the most knowledgable people because we had people like PhyscoFred and a whole lot of people who don't come to the site any more because they've moved on to better things. Its also probably because I never really modded tons my self and I was more into back in Swbf 1...
Swbf 2 to me just didn't seem as highly modded as Swbf 1 was, again I don't know because I haven't payed attention to tons of the mods, and I really don't feel like starting right now, I'm gonna support the halo modding stuff and mod for that I guess and just post my mods in the Other Games forum.

I've just seen GT change a lot over the past couple of years, my views have changed about some of the memebers over time and such, this is still a great community and I really don't mean that it's dead. When I said dead I meant as far as modding because the community still thrives here and on xfire.

I know that Star Wars has been this site's main focus, but have you seen any PC SW games new in the works lately?
We might just have to pick one as a standby until Battlefront 3 or KotOR 3 are released.
There are many options we just have to *sigh..* make a decision.

fate is soo fun. I would host and promote an entire area if people want to mod and offer anything for fate. I have already downloaded some cool star wars mods for this game. we could make way better ones. if you want this type of stuff let me know, im a rpg fantasy crack head.

What exactly is Fate? I'm looking at the site right now but I really don't know. It looks like it might be fun to mod.

EDIT: I relized I had the game so I installed it and wow does this game look moddable XD

I made some fishing mods for fate, its alot of fun. Models and icons all made in 3d max , kinda cool. you could make a new town and all new items and missions with a good team on this game , fo sho.

I just got it for my bro for Christmas so I I haven't tried modding it yet, but I would be up for a modding team.

yea the coding is cake , its all xml and #s, the images would need some good model and texture makers. As far as story, quests, items and what could be made that would be alot of fun, imagine an entire star wars single player world of fate , haha. a tatooine map with tuskens and jawas and all the usual goodies. so fun.

Well, I have not been modding SWBF for at least a year, and have only played it a handful of times last spring and winter (maybe once or twice in the summer).

As of fall, I have ceased gaming altogether.

So why have I still been present here in the forums? Because the community has been, and still is, golden.

Granted we are all human, and no one is perfect, but this site has one thing that many places on the internet lack: people of quality who respect other people's opinions and tastes. Even if people here disagree with each other, they will restrain from lashing out.

Though I can see the need for a new game (for the sake of modding) on this site, I believe GT can, and will maintain itself for a long time.

From what I've been hearing that is what most people find attractive about this site.
A new game would be nice but we have quite a community already and if we end up choosing a popular game we could be swamped with people who don't respect and enjoy our happy little corner of the internet.
As for me I plan on staying around for as long as I can.
