Can i make an object with multiple textures or can it only have 1?
With what? Mshex, XSI, Maya, Gmax, Sketchup?jango wrote:Can i make an object with multiple textures or can it only have 1?
I do not know where this comes from; nearly every model I make I export with MshEx and almost all of them have multiple textures.DarthD.U.C.K. wrote:in XSI and battlefront you cna have as many textures on an object as you want (shurely there is a limit but i dont think youll reach it) but i dont think Meshex can handle more than one texture per model
I remember reading that in the MshEx release thread in Rep's post about what it can and can't do, but it may have been outdated or I may have misread it. At any rate, if you've managed to export models with multiple textures, then it must be possible.Maveritchell wrote:I do not know where this comes from; nearly every model I make I export with MshEx and almost all of them have multiple textures.DarthD.U.C.K. wrote:in XSI and battlefront you cna have as many textures on an object as you want (shurely there is a limit but i dont think youll reach it) but i dont think Meshex can handle more than one texture per model
So I'm thinking I probably misread it.There has to be one and only one texture projection (can someone say how to collapse a lot of them into one explicit uv map?)
The confusion comes up because the wording says "projection." Really as long as you have one single polymesh, you'll be ok, because all your textures should be merged together on that.Eggman wrote:I remember reading that in the MshEx release thread in Rep's post about what it can and can't do, but it may have been outdated or I may have misread it.
