Re: RAS Prosecutor: Hangars - Beta sent out!
thanks to all betatesters who reported already! we fixed all reported bugs that could be fixed.
it wouldnt hurt to get reports from some more testers though
now we have good and bad news!
the bad first: AQT is really busy with school and cant implement the latest fixes and pack everything up. you will have to wait a little longer for the final public release.
RAS Prosecutor will be released on Friday, the 16. December+/- 4 days.
the good news is that in the last days i
-simplified the collision of the props and hallways strongly, that should improve the general performance a little
-reduced the polycount of a few objects with many insteances, that reduced the general flickering of objects a bit.
-simplified the shadowvolumes on props, that increased the framerate especially in the two hangars.(i can now play with shadows on high without lag)
ill use the remaining time to experiment a bit with lighting and fix small glitches nobody ever complained about.

DECEMBER! Surely I'll be dead by then! But, I understand, as I'm pretty busy with school too, these days. Keep up the good work!DarthD.U.C.K. wrote:thanks to all betatesters who reported already! we fixed all reported bugs that could be fixed.

Real life comes first, not mods.
I had a ton of fun doing the beta testing with AQT. I look forward to getting a full 4 man squad together.

Re: RAS Prosecutor: Hangars - Beta testing over
I know I told some people that the beta testing period would end on December 12th, but I thought today is a good enough day since we've gotten a good variety of reports already, and we are just about ready to wrap everything up. So from this day on forth, no more beta reports will be accepted please. Thanks to everyone who had volunteered and/or participated.

I didn't say I went away. And I was only busy to work on the map, not so busy that I couldn't read over a beta report.
Yes, of course he sent yours to me. This is a collaborated project after all.

Re: RAS Prosecutor: Hangars - Beta testing over
now that the beta has ended and the release in sight there is not much left to show....you think!
there are a few things you havent seen yet. atleast if you werent a betatester. but there are also a few thinsg the betatesters havent seen yet.
You need to supress the waves of droids and trandos coming at you? or do you just wanna shoot the bad white/dark commandos? dispense a manable EWHB-12 heavy repeating blaster
andeweget made the awesome texture, i made the model and anims and naru helped with the collision when i started getting desparate.
as you can see, it has a 9pose. that means the unit moves with the turret when aiming - it leans right/left to rotate and knees when it aims up or stretches the legs when aiming down.
what weve been doing in the meantime:
we fixed (if possible) all bugs that were reported, fixed some more models and gave the lighting an overhaul. we will show the result within the next week.

Re: RAS Prosecutor: Hangars - Beta testing over
Question: Is there a chair on the turret? I just played the whole Prosecuter section in RC again, and the turrets have seats, but I can't see them in the mod.
