Strange error using new skins.....

As a test, I was going to apply new skins to my CIS units. I followed the instructions carefully and as soon as I replaced my new skins with the ones (I renamed them correctly, saved in 24-bit/pixel, and turned off RLR compression), my game crashes.

Here's the error.
ERROR[levelpack shell.req]:Input file shell.req does not exist. [continuing]
1 Errors 0 Warnings
What now?

Well I get that munge error all the time, and all of my maps/reskins and whatever work, so it cant be related directly to your problem. I would have another look through the side folder you used, check the odf's etc that you used, make sure you have the common folder there etc.

I did a search and the only shell.req i could find in my mod's folder was here:
data_***/Sound/Shell
Check if that is there.

It's there. Now Dragon do you know if I have to copy the 6 KB shell.req? It's located in Mod Tools > data_*** > _BUILD > Shell somewhere??

Off-topic: About #6 in Skin Guide.
6. Go to data_***/_BUILD/Side/ALL, copy the two ".bat" files form there and paste them in data_***/Sides/rep[or Side your are editing]
Can't we copy the bat files from any other side? My skins are for the CIS so I would have to obviously copy the bat files for the CIS right?

You don't need to munge a shell for succesfull munge. So if you have selected shell in the munge options while you don't have any shell material to munge, it results in this error. No big deal, if you don't want the error, just don't select shell. Your problem probably lies somewhere else... check all the files, maybe you've mist something. Probably not tough...

I have good news everybody. XWing-Guy told me the shell wasn't the problem...it was my mistake of forgetting to add a custom republic side.

If you don't have that and you put dc: in your LUA in Rep side, it crashes.

Lock please.

And it's official. I've learned how to place skins in the game...hehe.
