Changing Object Texture

i want to change the skin for the object mus1_prop_crate (its the black cylinder crates all over mustufar)
but i cant find any .tga files....
this is the objects .odf
where do i go and what do i edit to change the texture?

Search in the msh folder of mustafar world in assets/worlds/mus/ a .tga file with the same name of the model.
if you not find the texture, open the .msh file and see the line after "HBRTAB...........", there is the name of the texture, then to change or create a new texture use a image editor as Photoshop or GIMP.

there is no... HBRTAB
this is the .msh file.... and there was no .tga

open it with a HEXADECIMAL EDITOR, as HEX editor.

EDIT: is HBRTAB, sorry.

wow man!
HERE is HEX editor, is easy to use. searh the HBRTAB in the right side column of the file.

Well, I gave the option of knowing that the texture object used to open the file if not found in the folder.
EDIT: yup, is this "mus1_bldg_control010_details.tga"

i found the file.. so i just edit the texture and the object looks different?

yup, only change and save the texture. if you want, see the changes with the MSHVIEWER. find it in the assets forum.
