Hhmm this looks like its going to be a very good map! Hopefully there won't be much lag.
I wish the clone wars cartoons were still free to watch..

Update soon, but first I have a question:
What would you think of a subway? Bots wouldn't really be able to use it (maybe they could walk it), but it would be a faster form of transportation between the CPs 3 and 4 (on the map). Thoughts?
My main concern at the current moment is that the map will be too small. This would add an extra level of gameplay area, and make holding those CPs harder, while capturing others easier.

What about gunships? Those would be a good edtion to the map dont ya think?
But this map is looking pretty hip

if this is to be a rooftops map, make it just that. use arcs and obi-wan in armour if anyone's made one u can use. spawn from a gunship on the rooftops and take out rooftop after rooftop of droids, maybe with vultures. maybe have a street with a big banking clan building at the end. the cis could have a magnaguard hero if you can make one beefed up. obviously this is just imho, and whay i'd hope to see from the clone wars.

Craggy: This is to be an equally balanced map, so there wont be magnaguard heroes or obi wan in armour (but obi is the republic hero) I'd like to put some cool units in, but at this stage I am not within that realm of knowledge.
Note as well that although called "Muunilinst Rooftops", you are not actually playing on rooves, it is more to symbolise that this isn't another streets map aka
<insert all the naboo maps here>.

MonCal: There will be LAATs in the sky, and that is all. There is no vehicles on this map. To put things into perspective, this map is a cross between the
Death Star and the
Tantive IV.
TuskenJedi: No, I'd have to disagree with you there. This is my first mod, for this game, and for any game
ever. I have brief modelling experience, but as for being wise in the way of maps, I know what I want but I'm not sure it'll come out.
Which brings me back to the previous question: Do you think a
subway would be a cool idea?

yeh loved the ideas that people are bringing the clone wars cartoons to bf2 looks really detailed and great some one has done a planet harporie (or somet like that) the 1 were ki ad mudi shakk tii and aayala secura fight grevoise recon some one should do a dantoine the one where mace windu fights that big stamper thing good map i like it

The map looks great though. Really looking forward to this. I was thinking of making a Muunilinst map, but I never really did get around to starting it.

Looks awesome. I never watched the cartoons either, and I personally wouldn't bother putting Obi in armour. This rooftops map looks like a great one to put a hero assault mode in.

I haven't put in capture the flag, as I think the map is a little too small for it, but fortunately I have put hero assult mode in. Futhermore, I intend to reskin each of the characters so they are all wearing
white or
grey so the blend into the terrain a bit more. The characters in black are looking a little weird, but I'll fix them up properly in photoshop with a little more care.

Sooner or later. The problem is that I can't just reskin the current Obi, the mesh isn't shaped for armour. However, a reskin of stormtrooper Luke may be an option, depending on the face quality. While it would be nice, it is fairly low on the priority list.

Schizo, I meant I
will need some help with the units, so
unfortuantely I will be taking some of your time. I have no idea what I am doing with it, I have no idea what I have to do, or what is possible.
I've put in the subway which travels beneath the map from CP3 to CP4 and back again. There is a bit of a problem, however, because the player is sort of pushed instead of transported. I really need to make the subway car (or ship, whatever) into an undriveable vehicle with its own world space.
For example, if you jump onto the roof a tank, and it drives you around, you can just stand there and enjoy the ride. However, my subway car makes you run the trip while you are being pushed to the back wall.

If I dont get much help here, I'll put a post into the modding forum about it, or maybe the XSI forum (seeing it is dealling with collision meshes).
