I'm finishing up Hot,Flat and Crowded by Thomas Friedman, which I think is an interesting book. I'm also finishing The Adventure Capitalist by Jim Rogers, another very interesting book.

Just finished reading "Black" by Ted Dekker, the first of the Circle Series. Good book, although a bit confusing.

I'm about to finish reading Cry, the Beloved Country by Alan Paton. You know, the one thing that's interesting about this book is that its been made into a movie and one of the main actors in it is James Earl Jones and so when I'm reading it, I'm having a hard time not picturing Jones without his black body armor and flowing black cape.

Jones was the voice, not the actual actor in the suit.

I know, but its still kinda hard cuz I've only known him as Darth Vader and not some Zulu umfundisi.

The Killer Angels by Michael Shaara.
If you like the civil war, this would be great for you.
I just finished it a few days ago.

I know this is a bump, but it's relevant given the topic, and I didn't think it was worth remaking this topic for one post. This is also a pretty cool topic IMO, so I wanted to revive me.

I'm currently reading Man's Search For Meaning by Viktor E. Frankl. I'd highly recommend it to anyone; it's fantastic.

Recently read the Thrawn Trilogy and Hand of Thrawn Duology. Good stuff.

Also reading Flight: A Complete History. Read about the pioneers of flight, and now about WWI.

I just finished Inheritance by Christopher Paolini. I'm about to start reading something by Tom Clancy, but I have no clue which book. I have 3 books by him on my bookshelf that are all over 900 pages, so I must choose one.

How was it? NO SPOILERS! I haven't started it yet, even though I've had it for a month (Christmas ftw). My mom and I have read the first 3 together, and I was going to start Inheritance, but then my mom got sick and ended up in the hospital, so we were delayed. She's back now, and it's only a matter of procrastination that we haven't started. My God, I digress.

I'm reading Outbound Flight by Timothy Zahn right now. Zahn never fails to entertain, like so many others do.

I started to read again all Jules Verne's novels I have, including Around the World in Eighty Days, In search of the Castaways, A Journey to the Center of the Earth, From the Earth to the Moon, 20,000 Leagues under the Sea, The Vanished Diamond and The Mysterious Island (my favorite).
Always have been a big fan of pre-2000 fantastic/sci-Fi books and movies. It's good to see how the authors were seeing the future, many hundreds of years ago :)

It is wonderful. The beginning is just killing people, but then it gets better, and the end is awesome.

Tempest - yes, the one in the Legacy of the Force series. First one was okay, second one was a drag, and I'm hoping this one is at least on par with the first book in the series.

I've been given Eragon to read, and it's pretty good thus far. Need to pick it back up again.
