Problems with performance

Hi,
I had this problem for a long time:
Some maps run at a very low framerate, like Mos Eisley, Naboo and Utapau.
My system:
AMD X3 720
ATI HD 5850
Catalyst 10.9
4GB RAM
Windows XP
All settings are the highest, but I have no problems with other games like Crysis.
Does anyone have a similiar system? How do the maps mentioned above run on your system?
I hope you can help me with that...

Those particular maps run nearly perfectly for me. But then my graphics are not at maximum.
If there is a choice between (uber graphics and slow gameplay) or (ok graphics and smooth gameplay) I always choose gameplay.

that could be an ati-thing. i can play all maps on the highest settings witt my 4-year old computer with a geforce about half as good as yours. or maybe battlefront doesnt like your cpu.. many games are crashing or running slowly on certain hardware for no obvious reason..

That could be possible, I found this:

Is there anything I can do? Maybe some special settings in CCC? Does anybody else use an ATI graphics card?

Me, but I haven't had any problems like this. Sometimes I'll have to turn off my game for a couple of minutes because models start disappearing whenever ordnance is fired in my screen's view (making them flash on and off because lasers are flying everywhere most of the time on the map), but never has it crashed because of maxing out the settings.
