Collision Issues

Post by Null_1138 »

Hidden/Spoiler:
How many times has that ^ thread topic been posted?
I'm using the Tantive IV assets to create a ship interior, and, to all those who have used these assets, I see how you can get frustrated trying to manipulate them. :x

I have two tan_bldg_corridor_01_a 's adjacent to each other. They're connected by the small doorways (A.K.A. not the larger one).

This doorway is impermeable from only one side (the one not highlighted, in the picture). On the other side, however, you can pass through (sort of, you fall through the floor, but that's not my concern).

The problem is, here, I've used this hallway elsewhere in the map, connected to another hall by the same doorway (tan_bldg_corridor_a), and it works just fine (apart from the floor glitch, for which I already have a fix in mind).

Can anyone explain what is going on?

I can't tell you why it's happening, but if you find a prop that is close to a block or wall you could put it behind where you can walk through, but where you can't see it so it is a barrier

:? So, you're saying I should put a prop between the two halls next to the doorway so it will negate the collision? Sorry, that just really confused me. Also, I used these hallways elsewhere and they work fine, so it has to be about where they are placed in relation to each other, right?

that must be an issue of an hallwayobject..
you can only try to give the models around this door a mesh.option with -donotmergecollision in it
or you could ask me if i want to give you the venatorhallways and doors i made..

Thanks for the offer, Duck, but I already have half the map made with Tantive halls. I'll see if the .msh.option file works. Thanks!

EDIT: Sorry, Duck. That didn't work. I'll see if I can move them around: maybe the collision is happening because they're too close together.
