It looks awesome, but seriously, like 4 people in a row saying "WOW OMG Slave I!" seems a bit wrong to me-a new space ship and that's it, but when you released the force powers and combo videos for lightsabers I'm sure there was less of a reaction, even though that is far more impressive and creative....

Space Heroes! I mean there have been space heroes, but they had a purpose other than flying, which is the point in space battles, and Slave 1! This is... i don't think one can overstate it, just amazing.

it had been converted to xsi and released longer than a year ago
and many months ago acemastermind made a takeoff anim for it, authraw used it a prop in his latest "notyetreleased" map, but nobody ever put ingame as a vehicle, dont ask why..

Was that X-Wing in the screenshots Bigg's ship? If so, I think you should change it's colors a bit; it will be easier to recognize it's a hero ship.

I thought you weren't mapping for Dark Times, but you seem to have changed your mind, since now we have corellia, raxus and such... unless those are the same space maps we already have, but with a different design. If they are indeed new, is there any chance of you showing more screen-shots of them?

And finally: Mav. I don't know what to say, you are possibly the most imaginative modder I have ever seen.

No, I'm still not mapping for this project. All I've done is redesigned some skydome models and given them new names - they still use the same space templates that some of the stock maps use.

This is how you start to understand your two different audiences. One group of people likes to see shiny new things, even if they are fundamentally the same as everything else - the appearance is what matters. The other group of people likes to see changes "under the hood" - gameplay is what matters. I won't fault anyone for preferring one above the other, but I myself prefer to see something that is actually new instead of something that appears new.

However, I understand that to have a successful mod, you need to sometimes include things that may not really matter to you (like the Slave 1 - which I could really care less about having, mechanically, because it's just a model) in order to have the platform to distribute something that does matter to you (like the space heroes, which is something mechanically new). There is a balance to be struck, but I do appreciate when people do recognize the actual gameplay changes, as they are what I like most.

In the end, it just represents two different kind of preferences, and people are always free to have their own opinions about what they like to see in a game.

I like the new force powers and stuff more than the Slave I. But don't get me wrong i like the Slave I alot too.

Personally I like the sound of the wave system the most but I always like a good skin great job Mav

LOL I think that we are desperately trying to keep this thread alive!! Think about all of us are trying to say something intelligent but really there isn't anything to say.

I guess we will have to wait for the next big shocker update to hit. . . .

I think we won't have any updates until the release of the beta.

Thats wat I do on this site sound intelligent and not have a clue really
