"nice moons, very realistic for a gas giant"
...
Uh...Zoo, your moons are too large and plentiful (as well as suspiciously familiar and similar).

You have an unrealistically large amount of round moons at the moment. Even if it has that many moons, most won't be round or large, and you should only be able to easily point out one or two from where you are (unless some weird, collinear alignment occurred, putting them in a sort of kebab alignment). Also, in reality, gas giants don't look quite like that. There should be more detail, storms and whatnot. Look at Saturn or Jupiter or the Yavin from A New Hope.

Este, he is right about the moons(for the most part), and he was mainly making a response to your comment, of course things dont have to be done realistically, but you(Este) did say they looked realistic.

I agree that is too many moons on the screen at one time, 3-5 is enough and realistic. I also agree that texture wise they need to be different, but there is no reason at all why they wouldn't be all round.

While yavin does have many moons, you certainly would not see them all at the same time. I'd keep it at like 3-4 max.

Well, most moons would be captured asteroids. Those aren't usually round. That's what I meant. But in any case, I like the two-four max. You wouldn't usually notice the asteroids anyway, but they would be making up a big portion of that 26.

i was talking about the many moons when i said that it was very realistical not about the moons themselves,in that i agree that they are all the same picture, maybe using three or four models it will look better

Dude, that is freakin' awesome. The only thing is how are you able to get to the Blockade Runners? Do they spawn in the hanger as regular ships?

Most things in space become round (if they are big enough) because of gravity enacting its force upon them.

@the blockade runners: Epic, i cant wait to fly.

Yes, of course. However most of the moons that a gas giant would have would be to small to pull themselves into a reasonable round shape.

Both. Or neither. Or a cube moon. Borg moon.

A cube moon would be pretty epic to see, but I doubt he's trying to make MinecraftFront. ;) And a Borg moon would be epic as well, except for the fact that it could assimilate the entire Star Wars universe into its collective. But yeah, a high quality image of a round moon or asteroid moons would be pretty cool and legit.

Also, again, loving the Blockade Runner with turrets! :runaway:
