Hello there Gametoast, been quite some time since my last post here but I believe the result is quite worth it.

Here is my latest project Hapes: Canyon:

The map is 80% completed I just need to add finesse to the prop placement, object textures (would anyone by any chance have a higher-rez or better texture for the Geonosis Spires?), and AI behaviours.

Not yet looking for beta testers but keep an eye out I'll be needing them soon.

Feedback appreciated, thanks.

Imo the pale-mint-green tree trunks clash oddly with the arid Geonosis-style terrain. Judging from the past two comments, though, that's just me. :P

I agree with you on that, however it was the best fitting I could find. Though, I will take another look on the textures I have and check through them see what's best.

Wow, a very nice enbironment you've created there and no, for me the tree/leaf color is a very nice contrast to the geonosis color scheme.

Can't wait, keepit up!

At first I didn't like the colors together but now I think they fit well.
I guess only people with fine taste would like this :P

Really? The color (and map) inspiration was from the Grand Canyon, this picture to be specific

Hmm. Are you sure that reference picture wasn't edited? I've been to the Grand Canyon and I don't remember the water ever being that blue. Granted, it's a big canyon and I couldn't have seen all of it.

Also, in the reference pic the trunks of the trees, at least, are brown. There's also somewhat more of them.
Hidden/Spoiler:
An idea: how about taking some large bush/tree props and sticking them, rotated, on the canyon walls? I think it'd be a really cool effect to have some vegetation up there to add some spice to the eyecandy.

Pretty sure it wasn't, I sourced it from the internet so I don't know for sure, I have visited it myself though which was the original idea for the map (I used pictures from my visit along as from the internet for inspiration). Very true...

That's true, working on it right now probably will just rework an old texture I have.

Now that is a rather good idea, it'd solve my problem of the canyon walls being to bare... I think I'm going to have to credit you now for the amount of good ideas you've come up with now to solve problems ive spent a month trying to solve.

That gave me a good idea Deathplayer, Hapes: Zoar'Ani Canyon.

While I love AT-TEs, I fear they will have problems with moving around in the canyon. :?

This is a beautiful map of a demonstration of the Grand Canyon (or a part of it anyway).

Also, I would think it would be better if you had AT-RT's that, maybe, were a bit smaller and could run faster that a huge AT-TE (also, I recommend more rocks in some areas, and maybe some animal locals!)
