ok so in the long gametoast tradition of awsome sagas (aka the 607th saga) and so on. I have decided to start my own and am almost done with the first chapter. heres the background. the acadamy saga is set several months after the battle of endor and death of the emperor and vader. the last leading figure in the Empire is admiral thrawn who has restarded the abandoned darktrooper project and sworn to never allow a jedi order to form. Luke Skywalker (at the time captain general of the alliance). has come to tatooine to attempt the creation of a jedi acadamy but within a very short time they are discovered. Admiral Thrawn launches an assault on the the city of Bestine were the acadamy was constructed, spearheading hte assault with his new mark II darktroopers. the alliance has only a small presence on Tatooine so the jedi students themselves join in the fighting. the question is will they be enough to hold tatooine or will the jedi order go extinct again....

well now that you know the story here are the actual stats on the map
-its part one of what i hope to be a six map saga
-very large
-features a squadron of y-wings and a gunship
-ALOT of imperials (270 to be exact)
-Ubar Luke Skywalker with force unleashed type of powers
-Jedi students as playable classes (they are still trainees some without force powers some without lightsabers)
-imperials have new skins
-Heros are Luke Skywalker and Luetenant Quall (darktrooper Mark three has been canceled cas i can't scale him up)
-lots and lots of urban combat (atst's/atat included)
-new weapons for the darktrooper and quall (underhand chaingun thanks to Caleb1119)

To make screenshots, you press the print screen up at the top or f12. Then upload them on imageshack.com

What is a "captain general?" Because it doesn't exist in any military organization ever, fictional or otherwise. Those are two different ranks.

captain general is a rank like commander i guess i should switch it i just thought it sounded cool

go to imageshack.us and upload your image (click browse, select the image and click ok)
i recommed you create an account that you can see all images you have uploaded etc.

If you want an easy upload system(And the images WON'T be taken off after awhile) I'd try mayhost.com or flickr.com

grr image shak won't upload tga files, now what? thats the format that my screenshots are in so please help (again)

Just change the format to PNG and upload them. Hardly ANYTHING will upload TGAs.

Use GIMP/MS paint/any other IMG editing program, open screenshot, click save as, choose PNG as format.

ok peoples feel free to comment on screenies, i know they aren't hte greatest. i'm hoping to release this map before july 19th 20th at the latest. what do u think of the skins?

Looks good , the skins looks a little painty on the darktrooper, if you want I can try to make one for you . Don't forget to change the sky! :atatpilot:

the premise of your map, though, is awesome, I like it when the modder includes a story behind it.

lookin good man this has great potential, i love the overall terrain you may want to get rid of the fog, and the skins do look a bit painty. i could also help you with skins if youd like. other than that, this map looks really fun!

ok i'de apreaciate any advice/help on skins like i said im no artist but what do u mean by painty?i think they are ok looking, also i need help with making my big ace mark three darktrooper i posted about it on mods but no aswers so far...

Ok this is really good (the 607th maps have a chalenge ) everything is nice I like the dark troopers and all of it ,One thing I don't get is this why does luke have storm-trooper armor but he is in the rebel army?
I am just qurious about that.

originally i thought that was what rebel commando armour looked like but after a bit o reserch if found out im WAAAY off. so now im doing remodleing based on that skin but i haven't updated screenies (the darktroopers have a new cooler and better made skin as well)

Looks good but....

1. The black line. What is it????
2. The walls are really high and sandy. Can I suggest making them rocky/using the rock cliffs from tatooine a bit.
3. 'Captain general'? do you mean 'lieutenant general', cos that is a real rank.
