Name of all the new characters revealed by Lucasfilm, Disney and J. J. Abrams:
BB-8 is the droid
Poe Dameron is the X-Wing pilot
Kylo Ren is the guy wielding the crossguard lightsaber
Rey is the new girl
and the Stormie guy is Finn
And the new looking stormtroopers are still named stormtroopers.

I bet "Rey" is a Skywalker or a Solo.

Just thought I'd throw out some of my thoughts. Something I mentioned to my parents the other day, everyone is hyped about the original cast coming back and that's fine, but I have a feeling they're gonna be as much a part of Episode VII as Leonard Nimoy was a part of Star Trek (2009). For those of you who did not see Star Trek (2009), Leonard Nimoy only has about 10 minutes of screen time, at most.

Well, JJ Abrams said that their role in this film would be to sort of "pass the baton" to the new cast. So while you're probably right in that they won't have a huge role to play, I feel like they'll still have a decent amount of screen time.
I mean,
1) the Millennium Falcon is in a dogfight.
2) They had to halt production for a while because Harrison Ford injured himself. You don't need to do that if Harrison Ford's only in a couple of scenes.
and 3) Mark Hamill, at least, was spotted in multiple filming locations.

All fair points. I guess I'm basically going into this expecting little screen time and will likely be happily surprised.

That .gif is great. It shows a more realistic version of Han being a great pilot. He's still doing a lot of subtle and not-so-subtle maneuvering, even without all the crazy flips.

I really like that they kept a lot of the same styles of shots in it. I got a lot of nostalgia from just that first far away Tatooine shot.
