WIP of my second map: Syros Forest. It's a small map but it's bigger than it looks in the pics. It is at about 60% completion over all. It will be out by the end of november.

Looks like a good outline but also alittle bland, perhapes vary the terrian height and add more props. A small camp or base maybe? Make sure the night sky has stars too, just plain black is boring. good job for a first map

Every tree uses the exact same model, it looks like. IMO you ought to spice it up a bit more if not with some other, diffferent kinds of trees, then with other objects. Maybe rocks or something. I also agree with Hob on the issue of terrain height. It looks pretty appealing overall, though.
As for the tusken name, I'd say it depends on if it's male or female:
male:
Tuyiskt'b'tha - "Bantha hunter"
Rakak'kterskt - "Belong to danger"
female:
C'rell'urtya - "Woman of the light tent"
Koroght'quaraka - "Blessed mother"
(based off Tusken language excerpts from Wookieepedia)

Second map
Good name suggestions, I think I'll use those as a base for something new Edit: maybe Rakak Sive
I'm still adding hills and some more trees/props, if you know of any assets that have tents of something in them can you please direct me to them? I'm also coing to add some more terrain color variation, like some earth showing under the trees.
PS: It actually is not night time, thats the way the mygeeto sky comes up in ZE although I like the nighttime idea....

Perhaps something more pronounceable?

The lengths to which modders will go just to be "canon" amazes me on occasion.

What, do you not remember that the Tusken raiders in episode four did nothing but howl and whine?

And spike with dangerous clubs.....which knocked our new hope down in 5 scenes.
And shoot with awesome crackling guns...
Thats why I modelled a gun for them *sniff*

One of the things I like about Endor is all the bushes and low stuff that you can hide in.
Though it's unlikely that this map would be played online, which is the only time when it matters, I know that I greatly appreciate the tactic of using the scattered brush as cover and a way to prevent the enemy from spotting me.
In short, I strongly recommend adding brush and stuff like that.

Very nice looking map from what I've seen, I also have a few suggestions though first and foremost is height variation you already have plenty of props but you have no height variation which always is a very useful thing. Secondly add some sort of barrier that prevents the player from leaving/seeing outside of the map it kills the feel of the map and if you extend it outside still looks bland and is far more work. Lastly, make sure you have good lighting and environmental effects since it looks like you have nearly everything done mapping-wise.
Oh and before I forget, Corrected version

1. Maybe I'll add some tunnels
2. Sorry Bobfinkl
3. Already have it snowing and will extend forest
4. I do have some hills but the snow makes it hard to see them
5. Sorry the avatar scares you but I think it's creepy in a good way

Would you like me to model some caves for you? See my Korriban WIP topic and several screenies are of some that I made. Just sketch up a quick layout in paint or something, give me some general measurements (preferably in meters, as that's what 1 unit is in BF2) and what type of texture you're looking for, and I'd be more than happy to make the necessary tgas, mshs, and odfs. (Note: clone troopers are appx. 1.8 meters tall)
And apologies, but that avatar makes me whim to hurl.

That would be great but I may not use them but if your willing maybe I'll try it. Ill pm you the layout + measurements soon, although I may use hoth tunnels before I get to that
EDIT: Hit a slight problem, sky isn't showing up right but...
