wow, quick reply there. BUT, would it be like normal mines allowing engineers and such to pass through? (hint hint, minesweeper unit)

If the unit was set up that way then yes, but his sides are done, dont know if he has an anti-mine unit.

Actually a minefield might be done just through ZE.
About the normalmapping: in a lot of the instances it isn't doing much for your models; the textures themselves are pretty basic so there's not much a normalmap could improve on. In the first pic really the only place where I see the normalmap making a noticable difference is in the face detail. The flamethrower looks somewhat bland and grey, regardless of normalmapping. There might be a little improvement with the sandbags; but I can't really say since I haven't seen a pic of them without the normalmap. A simple bumpmap might be sufficient.

I've got some news on The Final Push. It's still making good progress, I've been working on it for the past week, I've decided that an annoying anti-virus isn't going to stop me from getting this mod done.
I've done some experiments with what looks better like the lighting and I've changed the terrain. And Normal Mapping, I've learned decided to do some normal mapping for the infantry and objects.
And, I've also finished all the sides! So, it's really close to it's release. But first, I've gotta get it to the beta testers. Before i do send it to the beta testers, I've got to get some tanks in. Preferably the Cromwell and the Panzer IV
Anyway, below in the pics you can see changed terrain, better lighting (I'll probably change it), Normal Mapped stuff and "Gasp" A flame Thrower for the nazi's? Hot.
In pic 1 there's a comparison for Normal Mapped (left) and Non-normal mapped (right) stuff
Pic 2 is the latest pic on how the terrain and lighting looks, you can see the Flame thrower cooking some poor British lads. Yes, that Flame Thrower is normal mapped, in my opinion, it looks nice. But I'll improve the looks of it.
And finally, in Pic 3 you can see 2 normal mapped things, look at the Sandbags on the mg nest. I like 'em
The British Troop models are making good progress, and i have some constructive criticisms for them.
-There are sharp edges (see the elbows and legs) on the model that don't look too good.
-The texture (mostly the pants) look under-detailed in comparison with the nazi troops.
-The face has a funny expression, almost like he is surprised at something.

Smith_#38, do you have the vehicles set up for the map yet (if any are to be placed)?

I'd really love to beta test this.
('nuff said, punctuality is very useful, look at the Spartans)

After reading the above comments... and Mike's PM, i've decided to improve the texture of the British Soldiers
Here's a WIP of it, I'll be add on pockets and a Collar and maybe something else.
Anyway,
@commandoCC-9811 - Sorry CC-9811, i closed Beta awhile ago.. but don't worry, the mod will be released real shortly after it has been tested.

Not yet, but like WULF said we're working on it

I also made a Willys Jeep model, i'm not sure if i'll add that in or not.

Agreed on all of the above. Consider them fixed.

A Minefield.. i'll think about that, sounds interesting. And i did notice that normal mapping isn't doing much for them, it was just something i wanted to test out but now since i've improved their textures, they look alot better with normal mapping.
EDIT: Heres the improved British Rifleman texture - Pockets and better normal map

There's some nice improvement there. It'd be really solid, thought, if you textured the pockets and collar more strongly, in addition to just using the normalmap to put them in relief.

This map is progressing at a rapid speed!
There are a few things I have noticed, however:
-the physical terrain seems rather pointy; use the blend tool to fix this,
-the terrain's texture looks oversized and low-res; decrease the Tilerange in ZE - located in the Texture section, in the menu on the right-hand side - to a decreased power of 2 (16, 32, 64, etc) to make the texture seem high-res, and
-many of the weapons' textures appear painty, or lacking detail; add detail (not to sound bossy or anything

)
Other than that, this map looks super-special-awesome!

Hello everyone, i'm about to show you the Sherman Firefly. Keep in mind that i'll be changing the textures on it because they don't look realistic enough.
Here it is -
I'll also may add in the Willy's Jeep for the Brits, and maybe a Half Track for the Nazis.
