Of course! In fact, with any luck, this map will be the frontline release featuring the Clone Wars Realism Mod - hoping to feature several new vehicles and skins seen in the actual movies. Even if it doesn't include that mod, though, there are several good sides that have 41st Leigon skins - I'm sure I'll be able to use one. Remember: I'm trying to make it as accurate as possible to the movie, so any skins, vehicles, objects, etc. that anyone finds that should be implemented in this map is welcome!

Made some more progress, but unfortunately, I'll be away from my computer for the next five or so days. Don't worry, though - I fully intend to continue work, and hopefully finish this map (in playtesting, it's actually starting to look like the scene from the movie - what a concept Pandemic :O) Good luck to everyone else in their mod projects, and I hope to see some new betas when I return!

I'm back, and just full of pictures! Here's my latest achievement (aside from texturing and adding more hills to the map): a re - done CIS gunship!

http://s83.photobucket.com/albums/j285/ ... nship1.jpg

It has been tweaked to play well on land maps (tho I only plan to use it for this map). A full list of the changes I added:

-ATAT side cannons for the main pilot weapon
http://s83.photobucket.com/albums/j285/ ... nship2.jpg

-ATAT chin cannon for the secondary pilot weapon

-AT-TE rear gun (chaingun) for the two turrets (too much fun strafing the beach with that!)
http://s83.photobucket.com/albums/j285/ ... nship4.jpg

-Left the missle as it was (still really hard to hit anything, and it's suprisingly not overpowered for ground)
http://s83.photobucket.com/albums/j285/ ... nship3.jpg

-Slowed it down a bunch (so one can actually fight in the zone meaningfully)

-Lowered the health a bit (about three hits from a vanguard will take it out)

Getting in touch with OGEB about more vehicle options. In the meantime, enjoy pretty pictures of beach - strafing!

This looks exactly like the movie. You may not have new vehicles like the other map, but this looks a lot more fun to play.

your not a n00b, you're a newb (difference), and you have to host the pictures (if they're on your comp) on a website. otherwise, view the img by itself on the website, and put the url in between tags.

No. I spent a good two days finding the right balance between boring and condensed, and I still wound up with a huge beach. Fine, it's not EXACTLY to scale, but it will make for good gameplay.
Jawa_Killer wrote:where are the wookiee buildings....those big houses.......
If you look closer at the screens, you'll see the formations of huts at the base of the trees, and I'm far from finished with anything anyway - I do a little bit of this and that at a time, not in order (ex. a little texturing, then a little object placement, then a little vehicle modification....)
Jawa_Killer wrote:where are all those plattforms at the trees?
Again, I am far from done with any stage (except scaling), however, I would very much appriciate it if someone could hook me up with a platform that has no pole out of the bottom (for Yoda's observation Platform - which, by the way, I have flown up to and stood on - the view is fantastic!)
Jawa_Killer wrote:look at the water colour of the movie and then of yours......
I know....the color i'm using was from the base Battlefront II Kashyyyk map, and I just threw that in there for the sake of having water there quickly. I'll try to fix this later.
Jawa_Killer wrote:where are the original appearing vehicles?
Once more, I'm in the early stages, so I haven't placed them yet (only have one of each, and not all of the right ones in yet). I think I did a Diet Dr. Pepper fine job with the Droid Gunship and re - producing it's authenticity (not to mention a few additions of my own - hehe). I will also be modifying the snailtanks, swampspeeder, and hopefully add a catamaran (with your permission), and either a drivable Juggernaught (I know, unlikely), or one of those AT-TE scout walker type things (forget the name) from OGEB.
Jawa_Killer wrote:and trenches?
I thought about adding trenches in, but decided that a) there was only one seen in the footage and b) i can't find any trenches that aren't snowy, and c) it would most likely get in the way of vehicles, bots, etc. However, if you know of one that's textured right, I might just put it in! I still haven't sat down and mapped out the beach area yet (where the barricades will be, etc.)
Jawa_Killer wrote:and what about the trees.......look at them and then in the movie........so you can't tell me that those are movie like ;)
I think it's pretty close, and I am actually looking at a paused frame of my DVD. Besides, I don't have XSI, and even if I did, I wouldn't take the time to make a whole new tree that's that scale - especially four of them (by the way, they are double the size of the ones seen in the base Kashyyyk level, so they're no dwarfs ;)
Jawa_Killer wrote:just for improvement comrad^^
I know, and thank you! Just bear in mind that you have a) a team of modders and b) are over 96% done with your map. I am working on this alone (so far OGEB hasn't been in tough with me or I him), and have only been working on this for a week or two. This is also my first map that's completely from - scratch. So while I welcome any and all feedback, just keep in mind that it's gonna take a while :D

Oh, by the way, I've started modding the sides! I started out just wanting to reskin only, but I ended up changing the classes/equipment around as well. Screens to come soon!

Sorry for double - posting, but I wanted a fresh new reply for this: some sides pics! This should make the map even MORE faithful to the movie!

Notice the lovely 41st Legion skins on the trooper, sniper, and engineer - as well as nifty new names!

http://s83.photobucket.com/albums/j285/ ... =kside.jpg

And let's not forget the Wookies! w00t!

http://s83.photobucket.com/albums/j285/ ... kside3.jpg

I had to put in the time bomb for those harry guys - hehe.

http://s83.photobucket.com/albums/j285/ ... kside2.jpg

And now the beach will be filled with spiffy - looking 41st elites and wookies, instead of silly standard troops!

http://s83.photobucket.com/albums/j285/ ... kside4.jpg

One thing, tho - you'll notice that the Jet Trooper is still in origional skin and such. That's because I think the commander Gree skin would go REALLY nice with that last class, but I don't have it :(
Any suggestions are welcome!
