Very nice update, glad the space (orbital? atmospheric?) battle worked out. My one question is, how does the AI handle it? Additionally, great work on the catacombs.

There was an air battle in the episode, which was why Yularen had such trouble sparing Y-wings for bombing runs. I take it if that bit is being removed so is the animated crash? Dang.

I'd use at least one recognizable Republic ship for the space battle, an Acclamator maybe? They're about the same size as Munificents.

Not to sound rude or anything but i'm making this map for the ENTIRE gametoast community, not just you lagomorphia. While I do appreciate all of your input you've kind of dominated my thread for the past week. BTW I understood that you wanted a frigate battle with acclamators and a crash objective during the campaign the first time that you said it. The reason I don't want spaceships in the campaign is because i'll have to rebalance everything to fit them in and because fighters in campaign mode means you can get anywere on the map and huge chuncks of the story can be missed. So sorry no arial battle in the campaign *period*. As for adding acclamators, I COULD do that however your the only person that has complained about it, if I hear a few more requests for a mixup of the ships then i'll do it but i'm not shifting an entire chunk of the map arround unless I hear from at least a few people or unless one of the senior modders says its necessary.

I think acclamators would be cooler as well, but if it is to much of a hassle, what you have now is perfectly fine. You really have done some pretty amazing things with this.

To be perfectly honest, I really don't care which. Actually, whichever expidites the creation and release of thisseemingly EPIC map would be appriciated.

You could put the fighters at the edge of the map so that you can't get in them, but I understand what you are saying.

As for the Acclamator, the main reason I thought they would be better than those strange Corvette things (Bayonet-class I think you called them) is, apart from being more recognizable and iconic, is that they were partially designed for atmospheric operation as they were originally troop landers, hence the massive built in ramps. In Galactic Battlegrounds they were called 'Republic Troop Landers'. Were there strange corvette things instead of Munificents I wouldn't have the same problem. It's just that the Acclamator sort of goes hand in hand with Geonosis which is why I think they ought to be there.

But, like you said, it's not my map. I apologize if I gave the impression that I thought that.
You really have done some pretty amazing things with this.
I concur. The space battle alone is practically unprecedented.

Alright, to adress the acclamator issue once and for all. THEY DON'T FIT. In fact, the three bayonets don't fit... The acclamtor is about 2.5 times bigger than the beyonet corvettes and there is absolutely no way I could animate it without massive clippage of terrain and other ships. This is why I wanted chanselor class corvettes but seeing as there are no models avalable I have to use these rather odd bayonet cruisers. BTW the name comes from something I found in the Absolute Corruption Mod for empire at war force of corruption so IDK if someone just made them up, they just look exactly the same and serve the same role. Again, I appologies but there will not be an air battle in campaign mode.

[desperatelastattempt]Scaling?[/desperatelastattempt]

While I understand the Acclamators will not fit and thus they aren't going to appear in the air battle how do the Munificents fit if Acclamators can't? They're the same size.

Friday Update!

The space battle is progressing nicely, i've come up with a new way to keep it dynamic as well. For each command post you control on the ground you get either 5 fighers or 3 bombers in the sky for your faction. This makes the ground battle relevant and keep the action in the air interesting. If you only control 3/16 command posts (like the reps do at the begginging) then your going to be very hard pressed to fight in the air though that shouldn't be a problem since the reps dont' start with an airfield. As mentioned earlier, the player must capture an airfield in order to get to the space battle. The CIS starts with both of them but can quickly loose them if they are not careful. In other news i've started working on the ATTE square, you guys can expect to see some familiar scenes in the next couple of updates. In todays gallery is the completed space battle, there is still a bit of clipping and I will get arround to fixing it before I release a beta.

Enjoy the sceenies

Q&A
-In case it wasn't said enough times before, there will not be an acclamator on this map. No more acclamator suggestions please.
-Sorry but I will no longer be accepting suggestions for other systems or concepts, you can still post suggestions but if I don't know how to do it I am not going to, the map is getting big and I think i've got all the concepts I need proven.
- For all of you wondering about a beta, since i'm now in full out production mode instead of experimentation, a date may be stated. NOTE* THIS IS TENTATIVE I CAN AND MAY CHANGE THE DATE OF THE BETA AT ANY TIME! but with any success I will have a beta out before the 20th of march. Again this is tentative, no spam on the 20th if its not out by then ok?

Requests to the community
- VO is still not working, I really need some help with this!
- I am in desparate need of a modeler. If you have some experiance with modeling and are capable of creating .msh files for destructible buildings than I NEED YOUR HELP. If I can't get a shield generator, factory, and geonosian bridge than this map is not going to work as I currenly have it set up.

I could do some modeling. If you could give me some refrence pics, then i might be able to make some. They won't be perfect, and i can't do texturing, but i suppose i could help.

Very nice update. You mentioned nearing a beta release, will it be public or private? If public: EPIC!!!oneone1! If Private: I'd love to help test. Not crucifying me for asking before you ask for testers would be appreciated.

 Forget Acclamators, that battle looks amazing. Are the ARC-170's permenant or are you going to replace them with V-19s? (I think the assets are in the Convopack vehicles release)
If I can't get a shield generator
There's one in ForceMaster's Christophsis assets. It's the red CIS colour and everything.
If Private: I'd love to help test.
I'm pretty sure everyone would love to (myself included).

I will add TCW fighters. I just was doing a proof of concept at first and didn't want the extra bit of complexity interfering.

So only one team can join the battle at once?

Also, will you be using Geonosian starfighters in the battle?

To question #1, no, there are two airfields, at each airfield there are several mannable fighters and bombers that you can use. CIS starts with both airfields so to join the fight as the Republic you have to capture one.

To question #2, no, there will not be geonosian fighters, since the majority of the CIS is droids there isn't a need for them.

Nice map :) !!!! But I have two questions :

1- What type of ship is the republic's one :? ??

2- Are you putting Y-Wings, or even maybe Hyena's :D ??
PS: Hyena Droid Bomber S01E21
