Shadows inside of cave

Hey everyone, I'm trying to make shadows emit from light posts inside of my cave, I have a directional light casting shadows with a roof covering the entire cave so everything in the cave is in shadow. unfortunately I can only get spotlights/omni lights to cast a shadow when the lights themselves are not directly blocked from the directional light. is there a way to have shadows cast from spotlight/omni when the light is in a shadow itself? Sorry if that was confusing.

I don't believe that there's an easy way to do what you want to do in this game. The immediate solution that comes to mind would be, instead of using a "ceiling" to darken the inside of your cave from the main directional light, to have a directional light bound only to the area inside the cave by using a lightbounds region.

These "lightbound regions" are they the same as shadow regions but just changing the amb. light values?

No. Look at the lighting submenu in ZE - you have the option to set a bounding region to a directional light. It won't show up properly in ZE, but when you go in-game, any directional light with a bounding region will have the effects of that directional light confined to only that region.
