sorry i did not read all the posts but is it very different than the first one? yea cause the addon folder and all that but in game does it change the any weapons? (of course you may awnser "its multiplayerable")

It replaces weapons and everything, no different from the first one. It just lets you play online with people who don't have BFX, because it only overwrites one game mode, leaving the rest untouched.

another day where i get to spend downloading and trying out a new mod, the last one was awesome and i look forward to this installment, it just makes battlefront oh so much more enjoyable

Okay, progress report. All the big bugs are gone. All I have left to do is localizations, fix up the TIE Fighter engine effect, and sort through a little mess I made when I tried to give every unit a melee attack.

As for the AT-ST bug... It is one of the weirdest bugs I have ever encountered. It seems to only affect certain AT-STs. By that, I mean that on Hoth, you can enter the AT-ST near the bunker farthest from the hangar, and it's fine. But if you get into an AT-ST that spawned at the CP closest to the AT-AT spawn point, the bug is present. I have no idea whatsoever about what causes this, or how to fix it. I tried increasing the walker memory pools, nothing. So that bug is staying, sorry.

Okay, I get that it only overwrites one game mode, but will it overwrite the old files, too?

The old files? Do you mean the original game files? No, it will not over-write them, or anything, for that matter.

If you are referring to the older BFX versions, it won't overwrite them, but I suggest that you remove any older versions of BFX before installing this.

Progress report.

I have done many things recently.

TIE exhaust finished, it's pretty cool.

Polished up melee attacks, thank you to DarthDUCK for fixing up knife:

New grenade models. EMP grenade, proton grenade, and sonic grenade are courtesy of DarthDUCK, I've also used Syth's frag grenade and V-1 thermal detonator (on the timebomb).

After an hour in GIMP, I made an entirely new skin for the Wookiee Rocket Launcher. Definitely one of the best weapon reskins in the universe.

I discovered a way to improve skin resolution with MSH.OPTION files. You put "-8bit -maps 1" in the image's corresponding option file. Now almost every single image in the mod has an MSH.OPTION file with those parameters. Here is the new 212th legion trooper, a skin previously notorious for being blurry. Also note the localizations :) They're almost finished!
