I don't know how you did yours, but the way I did mine was to draw a circle, do a curve over the diameter, and then a line on the circle to go from one endpoint of the arc to the other, selected the edges of the circle, took the follow me tool and clicked the face of the semi circle.

ok well first of all i was just screwing around in the pic trying to see what would work, the picture doesnt show how i did it this is what i did in the final version of my dantooine model

ok i drew a circle and the in the center i made a vertical line along the blue axis. then i made a horizontal line along the radius and connected the end point of that to the vertical line and made a filled in curved triangle type thing. then with the follow me tool selected i clicked on one side of the curved triangle and moved it all around the circle so it made a dome
here is my finished version, in which i used the technique of making a dome which i have just shown

Sorry guys, but I'm officially calling sketchup models like that and commanderfett's unconvertable. I made an attempt to convert a smaller model today, and it clocked in at over 15,000 polies, and it was a small model such as a house with almost no detail.

Well, I've endlessly been trying to convert Null's lot, but qua polies, they came out quite nice. BUT, I could only view it as a wireframe, otherwise it's invisible... :(

mswf since you said you could only see the wireframe and not the textures, did you make sure they were in .tga format? i heard thats the proper file type for textures. and how do you convert these sketchup files so you can put them in game?

When you say invisible, do you mean in XSI? Because I was able to export it to .OBJ via Blender, then tried to import into 3DS and it said it was empty. Is that related?

Yes, I converted them all to .tga's (with the correct procedures) but even then, I should've been able to see gray surfaces or something likewise

I converted it like this; Sketchup->.kmz file, convert al textures to .tga-> import in XSI Modtools 7.5

*sigh* I wish people would stop posting that link, as it does not correctly detail getting your model SWBFII ready.

sweet textures and model! Maybe try and get the star destroyer texture itself? make a copy and scale it down? that would make it look more awesome.

NOTE, I did not make this model, the creator of the ARC Rifle did. I am just converting it to a pistol and retexturing. And its not easy. :runaway:

If someone could tell me who the creator is, I'd be willing to finish it.

RepSharpShooter?

Also, if you need to do that, it'll take me about 30 seconds in XSI.
