Mygeeto Assault: Protector version 2.0-Released-

:jango: I'm sort of almost done with version 2.0 of my map Mygeeto Assault: Protector. In the new version, there are quite a few improvements(at least in my opinion) such as:
improved AI: I added better planning so tha the AI would stop running into trees
A new cp: I added a new command post in a base under the central mountain thing in between cps 2 and 4.
Different textures and *faints with joy* sky: I thought this map would look better with some different textures and sky, so I made it a snow map, and I also finaly figured out how to (after 2 and a half weeks of misunderstood documentation) change the sky!
New skins: I added custom skins to the republic side (for all units except the officer, which I'l probably leave the same).
Bug fix: I finaly fixed the GCW era, so that fixed the major bug of the last version. I also added some new objects, fixed all the floating boxes, trees, and cps that I could find, along with moving the CIS/Rebel spawn area and fixing a floating ammo droid.
All that I have left is changing the jet troopers jetpack, maybe adding a few more objects, and
maybe add in some water.

I would suggest not having a screenshot unrelated to the map as the loading screen.

Suggestions:
1. Muck around with 'FogRange' in the 'sky' file in your world's folder to put the fog range up so you don't get that nasty effect when looking at the CIS battleship.
2. Change the loadscreen. Maybe one of Fett in your map?
3. Make some custom sides.
Oh and.....
Assume its your first map???
Very nice looking map regardless.

Since this take place on mygeeto. why not put in some large pillers that on battle field so it feels like your on the very bottom of the main battle area.

Red51: It's not Mygeeto, I was planing on making a series of maps called Mygeeto Assault ending on Mygeeto with a map or two there, but I've been getting some complaints about it on
version 1.0 on Filefront (yes Nova Hawk, this is a different version of the one released on SWBF files, I realy liked it and just couldn't risist tweaking it

) so I'll probably change the name, but I don't know what to change it to.

I think that one picture of that CIS ship would make a nice loadscreen because it appears to show a map overview.

why should clones not use crayons?
(to make it less crayon-looking, set the opacity of the stripes lower)

I'll work on that, only I think I put in too many trees because the map freezes my computer every time I try to load it.

Hmm... does anyone think I should make custom CIS , ALL, and IMP sides?

@Fett: if by custom you just mean custom skins then no....if by custom you mean weapons too then definitely. But I'd say just start with CW only, and if that works then move onto GCW.

I would make new weapons, but doesn't the program to do that cost around $500? If I'm mistaken please correct me, as I would like to do that.
Also, I have to agree with that crayon coment.I'll try to make them better.
Oh, and does anyone think I should take the leaves off the trees? They look kinda weird without them, but it is a winter map.

Don't have to make your own models, there are plenty of custom weapon models here at GT. Try looking at the released assests forum for some.
