links at the side of GT?

Hey i was wondering, now im sure its to do with my PC but i thought i would ask, anyway you know where the links are at the side of the page (rends mods PuP ect) well most of the time i just have PuP there. nothing else. not even first strike.
does anyone else have this.
also i went on my mums PC for a little while and guess what? the same thing (just PuP)

on my pc i am using firefox and i tried IE7 and its the same. and my mums pc is IE7

all of them are animiated gifs i think , so maybe you have zone alarm which turns off anmiated icons if its set to hardcode. dunno, other then thats sounds like firewall fodder.

I know on firefox, if the image doesn't load, it will just look blank like nothing was ever put there. But at least on IE there should be place marks by default. I think there is a way to turn them off, but unless someone has been messing with you mom's comp, they should be there. What ISP are you using? Some ISPs use proxys so that could be a possibility. Slim chance they are, but some actually do. As guru said, some firewalls can cause it also.

errrm i think its BT yahoo. the thing is if i remember rightly i put vista on my pc and they were there and when i took it off they were gone again.

I'd check the ad blocking. turn it off to see if they appear. If they do, then add GT to its list of trusted sites (Don't ask me how, I hate NIS because it blocks way to many things and you have way to much configuration to do out of the box, including file and printer sharing.)

Yup, happened to me to. I couldn't even set them to Norton's allow list. Just disabled adblocking and now I use AdBlock FiltersetG.
