I've wiped my computer and installed Vista (got it for xmas) and been playing all my other new games. Need to get back to modelling. I like 3ds because its quiet easy to use, i mean, it has more functions than XSI, like smooth and render and all. Also, lots of games use 3ds for modding. Anyone know much about modding HL2? Got the Orange box and want to have a go at making a new gun for my self, model and all.

I'm beginning to feel guilty for using XSI, good as it is.

I was going to start HL2 modding myself, but I suppose I just forgot. I did a little research for you and found this, hope it helps.

Also, there is a word document, or .pdf on importing models into HL2 here:

Again, I dont know if that will be much help... but I hope it is

Thanks mate. Just realised though that there is a tutorial with XSI Mod Tools 6 on creating a demo charge, and getting it working in HL2, that will probably be a start

, just im busy playing other games now
